Continuity mistake: Tintin is back at his apartment reading the wrapper from the Crabe Extra tin with "Karaboudjan" written on it. Just before he says "Yes, there's something definitely written here", he has lifted the wrapper off the table with his thumb placed on the front and his four other fingers placed on the back. Later on, after Tintin returns to his apartment after the three bad guys have kidnapped Mr. Kuraki, a phone has suddenly appeared on Tintin's desk and the desk is now on the left of the chair. Revealing mistake: When the Thompson's discover that Tintin is rummaging through the bins in order to find the Crabe Extra tin, one of them says "Tintin. Whatever are you doing?" and the other detective is shown stopping next to Tintin, altering the position of his cane. As soon as he stops altering the cane, the bottom of the cane is shown, through Tintin, overlapping with the bin. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: As Tintin is rummaging through the bins, he says "It's got to be in here somewhere, Snowy." In this shot, the bin is bright blue. The shot cuts over to Snowy growling, but when the shot cuts the detectives entering the scene and one of them says "Tintin", in reaction to him rummaging the bins, the bin is now bright turquoise. Continuity mistake: When Tintin borrows the torn out part of the wrapper, he and Snowy go to leave the office and the shot cuts back to Thompson and Thomson. For the very first frame of the shot, the top of the pile shows two blue files and on the bottom is two darker blue files. The bottom two files are shown with dark blue edges. Then within that same shot, a frame after, it is now a blue file at the top of the pile and a red file below the blue file and the edges from the dark blue files have vanished. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: When one of the detectives places a bunch of files on their desks, visible part way through the pile are two separate pieces of paper between the files. Continuity mistake: In Thomson and Thompson's office, one of the detectives sets some files down on the desk. Just before the files are set down, to the left of the files is a green mat with a piece of paper near the end of it. Other mistake: As the scene cuts from Tintin walking on the sidewalk to Thomson and Thomson's office, the shot then pans over to one of them placing some files on the desk. Revealing mistake: After Tintin has thrown the Crabe Extra tin in the bin, he continues to walk along the sidewalk. Snowy then growls sounding annoyed at the can and he begins to walk along the sidewalk also. The shot then zooms in on the tin resting in the bin and it can be noticed that the tin visibly tilts. Audio problem: After Tintin has removed the Crabe Extra tin from Snowy's nose, they continue to walk to Thomson and Thompson's office and Tintin is shown chucking the Crabe Extra tin in the bin. The sound of the tin actually hitting the bin is not heard, but the sound of the tin settling in the bin is heard anyway. (00:03:15)

Continuity mistake: After Snowy has dogged his way through the box, he gets the Crabe Extra tin stuck in his nose and runs over to Tintin. Tintin then takes the tin out and he then says "You don't see me digging in the garbage." In this shot, it is noticeable that the B in "Crabe" has been replaced with a P. (00:03:05)

Continuity mistake: When Snowy runs back to Tintin after getting the Crabe Extra tin stuck in his nose, Tintin says "That's what you get for sticking your nose where it doesn't belong" and reaches to take the tin off his nose. As Tintin reaches for the tin, the wrapper of the tin itself is a very bright yellow and the words "Crabe Extra" are very large. In the next shot, as Tintin actually takes the tin off his nose, the wrapper of the tin is now a pale yellow and the words "Crabe Extra" are now a lot smaller. (00:03:00)

Continuity mistake: Tintin and Snowy are walking to Thomson and Thompson's office and Tintin is shown saying to Snowy "Come on, Snowy. The Thompsons are waiting for us." In this shot, there is a wooden fence located next to them that is a very pale beige color. In the next shot, from a close-up of Snowy, they are now standing next to a fence that is a very bright brown color. (00:02:40)

Revealing mistake: After the three Karaboudjan members begin to approach Daws, Kuraki then takes out his gun and says "Follow me." Kuraki then begins to leave the shot. He has a black mustache, but just as he almost leaves the shot, his mustache temporarily becomes flesh colored for a brief frame. (00:02:10)

Other mistake: When the three Karaboudjan members go to approach Daws, we see Daws go to clench the wrapper he had written "Karaboudjan" on and then throws the Crabe Extra tin in the box nearby. In the shot where one of them says "You disappoint us, Daws", as they first appear, we can see Daws is standing in front of the box, yet as Daws actually goes to throw the tin in the box, he throws it forwards, which from that position meant, could not have possibly landed in the box. It would have landed far in front of the box, rather than actually in it. (00:02:05)

Continuity mistake: After Daws has finished writing "Karaboudjan" on the wrapper, three of the Karaboudjan crew members appear in an attempt to kill him. Daws then clenches the wrapper and places it in his pocket. In this shot, only half of the image of then crab on the Crabe Extra tin is shown due to Daws ripping off part the wrapper a few seconds prior. As soon as Daws throws the tin in the box, part of the crab's claws have suddenly appeared at the other end of the tear. (00:02:05)
