Continuity mistake: After the Peary financier says "The Aurora will not reach the meteorite", the scene cuts back to the Aurora sailing through a storm. In this shot, the name "Aurora" is visible on the side of the side. Yet by the end of this scene, and the camera is in front of the boat, the name "Aurora" isn't visible on the front of the ship. Continuity mistake: At the start of the boat scene, Tintin stands at the front of the ship and gets hit by a wave. In the front shot, the wave is seen going above his head. Yet when the camera is behind Tintin, the wave is suddenly below him. (00:09:15)

Continuity mistake: The way the lamp in the observatory is bent changes between the shots where Professor Fossil says "Order 10 pounds of jelly beans" and the shot where he sings "We're going to the Arctic". (00:07:55 - 00:08:25)
