Continuity mistake: Mitchell puts a sandwich down close to Cam on the kitchen island whilst talking to him. The sandwich then moves closer to Mitchell and a plastic food container is now moved to the other side near Cam instantaneously. (00:14:00)
Continuity mistake: When Claire comes in the kitchen a wine bottle with a blue/white label is standing up on the table. When Luke explains the effects of Jägermeister the same bottle is lying down on the table. In the next scene the bottle is standing upright again. (00:16:10)
Continuity mistake: When Alex opens the door for Sanjay she is wearing red headphones around her neck, in the shot after that the headphones are gone. Two shots later, they reapear. (00:11:10)
Continuity mistake: When Haley, Claire, Phil and Jay are by the pool and Claire is talking to Phil. Claire's shirt (cover up) changes position several times. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: After the photographer asks Claire if they are still taking the picture Claire says no and puts mud on Gloria's belly. You see that its a round stain. In the shot after that the stain on Gloria's dress has become just a smear. This changes again in the shot after that. (00:20:05 - 00:20:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When Manny brings out an epee, equipment and a bald headed crew member are reflected on the polished guard's surface. It's pretty quick, but it's there. (00:09:45)
Continuity mistake: When Javier is setting up the pool table and Jay is about to break, we see in the next shot that the balls have slightly changed position, and in another shot before the end of the scene the balls have changed position again, without any play made between either of them. Continuity mistake: In the scene after Luke tips the contents from the box onto the table, when he puts the box upright after tipping it, there is a white hose hanging over the edge. But in the shot when the box is visible again, the hose is on the table. After that when you see the box again, the white hose is once again hanging on the box, but in a different position than it was originally. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: When Jay is sitting in the patrol cart with his partner eating ice-cream, the amount of the partner's ice-cream that has melted keeps changing from shot to shot. Sometimes the ice-cream has melted a little bit, sometimes it has melted over his fingers, sometimes it hasn't melted at all. Jay's ice-cream also changes just as often, but is not as obvious. Continuity mistake: During the outdoor scene from Manny's surprise party, Phil is chomping away on corn on the cob like a madman. When he gets up, he wipes his mouth with his napkin while leaving some corn on his face. Claire jumps up and tells Phil that "they have a gardener", and the corn is still there. However, as he turns around with Claire by his side, the corn disappears. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: Whilst Clare and her new 'best friend' are talking to the flight attendant, the two glasses change from empty to full in the next shot.
Other mistake: When Claire is sitting in first class, the woman she was sitting next to finished her drink while on her angry phone call and asks for more, but about a second later she is drinking it again and it is no longer empty.
Continuity mistake: Gloria speaks Spanish to Manny and he seems to understand it. But later, when his brother Joe was born, a tutor had to be hired because Manny didn't speak or understand Spanish.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Claire catches Alex and Skyler about to shave each other's hair, Claire grabs the shaver and waves it around, and the shaver gets caught in Skyler's hair. The color of the hair caught in the shaver (black) is different from Skyler's hair color (very dark brown). It is quite close, but still significantly different. (00:11:50)
Answer: Mitch is upset that his dad doesn't seem to support his getting married. When they talk about Jay's friends not coming to the wedding, Jay makes it seem like Mitch wouldn't want them to come anyways. Mitch sees it as it's actually that Jay doesn't want to invite his friends to his gay son's wedding because he's embarrassed and uncomfortable about having a gay son. Essentially Mitch sees it as if he was marrying a woman, Jay would be willing so spend money on the wedding, host it at the club, and invite all his friends to it.
