Continuity mistake: 5 German soldiers find the farm house, but during the battle 6 of them get killed. (00:23:45 - 00:27:30)
Visible crew/equipment: Season 3, "Birthday Cake": When Littlejohn goes into the river, you can see the reflection of the entire camera crew.
Continuity mistake: The ring taken from Hanley in the opening, mysteriously reappears on his finger later on.
Continuity mistake: After he changes the tire, the truck driver climbs into the cab with Saunders. But in the next shot, Saunders is alone in the truck.
Visible crew/equipment: A film crew member wearing a white shirt is briefly visible when The Squad fires at the barn.
Revealing mistake: Blanks loaded in the German MG42 are obvious as the American tank assaults its position.
The Casket - S4-E12
Continuity mistake: Saunders steals 1 of 2 gas cans, mounted on brackets, from the side of a German truck. In later scenes, the remaining gas can and the brackets are gone.
Mountain Man - S3-E1
Factual error: Combat is set in Northern France, where there are no snow-capped mountains. Yet Saunders' troops are crossing such terrain here. It's also apparent that, despite dialogue referring to sub-zero temperatures, it isn't really very cold. The actors are sweating in their snow gear, there's no frost on them, and no one's breath is forming any clouds in the air.
Revealing mistake: When the German soldiers are shot and fall dead into the water, one of them raises his head to take a breath, then goes back to being "dead."
The Short Day of Private Putnam - S2-E28
Character mistake: Hanley's call sign is Checkmate King Two. But his radio man recites, "Checkmate King Two, this is White Rook." Should have been the other way round.
Visible crew/equipment: When the prisoners are looking for the dirt from the tunnel they discover it is in the attic. While they are removing a board from the ceiling they reveal an overhead stage light. You can tell this is a mistake because they hurriedly put the board back.
Factual error: The German tanker intercom headsets are wrong. German panzer intercom systems used throat mikes, not headsets with the microphones close to the mouth.
Factual error: The panzer caps worn by the German tankers (and later by Saunders and Gavin) are old-style pre- and early-style caps that were no longer issued later in the war.
Other mistake: The view from tank driver Gavin's periscopes shows he sees an approaching German tank, but his tank has nosedived so far into the hole his tank is stuck in that there is no way he could have seen anything except a wall of earth and rocks.
Revealing mistake: The grenade Saunders tosses onto the German tank does not land where the pyrotechnics explode.
Other mistake: When Saunders' tank and the other tank are sparring against each other, closeup shots of the tanks' rear drive sprockets show them moving in reverse, but overhead shots of the vehicles show the tanks moving forward.
Continuity mistake: The war correspondent causes a disturbance. By the time the German guards enter the room, Saunders has the correspondent subdued with a knife he found. Each time the camera does a closeup of the knife Saunders is holding it in a different position. (00:36:10)
Bridgehead - S2-E2
Continuity mistake: As Saunders and Little John crawl past the dead GI Kirby is shown being treated by the medic, camera cuts to the bridge then back to the church and then you see Kirby getting shot. (00:26:00)
Lost Sheep, Lost Shepherd - S1-E3
Visible crew/equipment: After they climb onto the tank and as it begins to move, on the left of the screen and behind the branches you can spot somebody walking toward the tank and then quickly backpedaling. (00:10:25)
