Visible crew/equipment: After their visit to the beach, Maggie and John-Boy go into the nearby town to look for the restaurant, and when they stop at the corner we can see the chalk T-mark on the sidewalk, then they walk a bit and another chalk T-mark is visible, and when Maggie spots the restaurant two final chalk marks are visible at their feet. Factual error: When Elizabeth asks Zeb how Vanessa can be happy, Zeb has his old catalog with a bunch of flower seed packets on his lap, and as they both hold up the packets, particularly Elizabeth, the modern Universal Product Codes are at the back of the packets. The UPC did not exist until many years later. (00:10:05)

Trivia: While Maggie MacKenzie and John-Boy are at the Mermaid Restaurant, when they both dance together Maggie envisions her long deceased husband, Michael MacKenzie, dancing with her instead of John-Boy. It is Earl Hamner Jr. who portrays Michael MacKenzie in this uncredited onscreen cameo during the scene (note teeth and facial features are identical).
