The Dumpling Paradox - S1-E7

Corrected entry: Sheldon states that reductio ad absurdum is "the logical fallacy of extending an argument to a ridiculous extreme and then challenging it". This is incorrect; this is the straw man fallacy. Reductio ad absurdum is the entirely valid inferential technique of demonstrating that the consequences of an argument being true result in a contradiction.

Correction: Sheldon is correct. "Reductio ad absurdum" (Latin: "reduction to the absurd") is a form of argument in which a proposition is disproven by following its implications logically to an absurd consequence. Proof by contradiction is a specific form of Reductio ad absurdum. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reductio_ad_absurdumA strawman argument is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position.http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/straw-man.html The major difference between the two is that an Reductio ad absurdum argument presents the opponent's claim correctly but carries it to an extreme. The Strawman argument presents the opponent's claim incorrectly.

Guy

Pilot - S1-E1

Corrected entry: Raj talks aloud whilst Penny is still in the room.

kateykatek

Correction: Raj enters the room while Penny is in the bathroom about to take a shower. Raj does talk but, doesn't yet know she's there.

The Bat Jar Conjecture - S1-E13

Corrected entry: Towards the end of this episode, Raj answers a question by buzzing in with Leslie Winkle sat next to him, and he answers. I though he couldn't talk to women or around women? Is this a mistake?

Nameless

Correction: This point is addressed earlier in that episode. Leonard explains that he can talk once they're all mingled in with males (as in the audience).

Knever

The Hamburger Postulate - S1-E5

Corrected entry: When Leonard is explaining his thoughts to Sheldon, during the rant which includes him naming who he intends with the words she or her (eg "She: Penny, Her: Leslie), he states, "Indicating that She: Penny had no interest in me asking Her: Penny out," which makes no sense. DrEvilGenius

Correction: Lenord is confused and ranting so making a mistake in that situation is not unlikely.

The Habitation Configuration - S6-E7

Continuity mistake: When Howard is almost done moving out of his mother's house, there is a table in front of him with a measuring device in the top corner. In one shot, the device moves to the opposite corner of the table. In a few shots later, the item returns to its original position.

The Extract Obliteration - S6-E6

Stephen Hawking: Do you like brain teasers?
Sheldon Cooper: Oh, I love brain teasers.
Stephen Hawking: What do Sheldon Cooper and a black hole have in common? They both suck. Neener, neener.

The Holographic Excitation - S6-E5

Trivia: In this episode, Sheldon and Amy are trying to decide on couples' themed Halloween costumes. Sheldon is standing in front of the dry erase board. There are 2 columns written on the board. One named "Couples I Like" and the other "Couples You Like." Under the "Couples You Like" column, one of the couples is Blossom and Joey. Blossom is the name of the television character played by Mayim Bialik in the 90s and Joey was one of her brothers.
