Emergency!

The Promise - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Dr. Brackett are on 127's Snorkel while Johnny is trying to subdue Richard on the ledge, Brackett is not wearing any rings, but after loading Richard into the Stokes, when Brackett is grabbing hold of the basket in the closeup he's wearing two rings on his left hand, which vanish in following shots.

Continuity mistake: When Roy and John walk into Edna Self's house, in her closeups she's wearing a light beige floral robe, but in the shots facing the guys we can see that it's a dark solid color robe that's on the chair. Notice how odd it is that the three are not in any shots together - Edna's not in any shots facing John and Roy, and they're not in any shots facing her.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy get back to the station and talk to Paula in the rec room, in the wide shot Johnny has his hands on his hips and then subtly moves his elbow behind Roy, but it cuts to a close-up and his elbow is still blocking Roy.

Continuity mistake: When Richard jumps out of Rampart's 6th floor window, the bottom of his feet are very filthy (impressive for someone in bed in a catatonic state), but when he wakes up while lying on the ledge and Johnny tries to control him, Richard's feet are now pretty clean.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny's on the ledge with Richard, just as Richard awakens he knocks the penlight out of John's pocket, but when Roy joins them on the ledge the penlight is back in Johnny's pocket, beside the green pen.

Continuity mistake: When Bo goes to Richard's room for the first time, in the view from inside the patient's room, as Bo pushes open the door we can see the hallway behind him, and there's a perpendicular wall beside the door. This wall does not exist when he visits Richard the second time, because there's a hallway leading to the elevator outside of Richard's door.

Continuity mistake: When Bo Jensen goes to Richard's room for the second time, as he pushes open the door we can see there's a wall perpendicular to the door, but when Bo is in the room there's a wide widow covered with curtains where that wall was. The window with curtains can also be seen in the exterior shots, when Richard jumps out the hallway window.

The Promise - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: After Johnny finds the missing mechanic, when he turns him over from his stomach to his back, Johnny's wearing a watch on his left wrist, but in the closeup showing Johnny's arms turning the catatonic mechanic over, Johnny's watch has vanished.

The Promise - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny try to subdue the out-of-control patient on Rampart's ledge, after Brackett tells them that he'll go to x-ray right away, Roy's helmet is off, but in the overhead shot it's on his head, then in the next shot Roy puts it on his head.

The Promise - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the people trapped in the house, Johnny and Roy clear away all the tumbleweeds from the front door, but in the next shot facing the door there is another huge tumbleweed in front of it.

The Indirect Method - S5-E6

Factual error: When Roy is electrocuted and falls from the roof, after Karen uses the defibrillator paddles on Roy, she lifts both paddles, looks at the EKG monitor and says "He's converted." How exactly could Karen have known that he's converted? It's impossible for the EKG monitor to show anything at all. Either the defib paddles have to be in contact with Roy's body for the "quick-look" to get a reading, which they weren't, or the ECG electrode discs have to be on Roy's chest connecting him to the EKG monitor, and they weren't. As an aside, just watching Marco having problems attaching the air mask, and quickly glancing up towards the camera frustrated, then giving up is priceless.

Show generally

Question: In quite a few episodes of Emergency there is a character that the doctors and other nurses call Nurse Carol. She is the older nurse with dark hair. I would say she is on at least a fourth of all episodes in all seasons yet I can not see this actress getting credited or listed as uncredited anywhere. I wonder if she was an actual nurse. Does any one know who she was. Yes there also were a couple of other actresses who played a nurse named Carol on one or two episodes and they are listed in the episode guides. She also is the patient with her arm in the cast talking to Dr. Morton in the episode 6:18 Firehouse Quintet.

Answer: On IMDB, actress Anne Schedeen is listed as playing Nurse Carol on six episodes from 1974-76.
