Grey's Anatomy

Heart-Shaped Box - S8-E8

Corrected entry: When Callie is talking to George's mom, she tells Callie "you have a baby." Callie replies "yes I do, do you want to see him?" But Callie didn't have a boy, she had a girl.

Correction: She's doesn't say "him." Ms. O'Malley asks Callie if Callie has any pictures (of Sophia). That's when Callie says "I do." Then she says "do you want to see 'em?"

I Will Survive - S7-E21

Corrected entry: While jogging with her husband, Teddy refers to him by his real name Scott. His character's name is Henry.

Correction: She says "no, stop", not "Scott."

Break on Through - S2-E16

Corrected entry: Izzie tells the patient's mother if she doesn't want to be late for her 6:00pm job she needed to leave immediately as it is a 3 hour drive, when it is actually less than half that: 88 miles - 1 hour 20 minutes. There is only one route from Seattle to Chehalis, Interstate 5. The vast majority of the drive has speed limit of 65-70 MPH and at 3:00pm (or earlier) traffic will not be an issue.

Phixius Premium member

Correction: Anybody that knows the area realises if you leave at 3 on a weekday, it will take 3 hours to go from Seattle to Chehalis. Google maps estimates anywhere from 2h to 3h 20m at that time of day, longer on a Friday, and she wouldn't want to take a chance on traffic being good, leave at 4, then be over an hour late for work.

Band Aid Covers the Bullet Hole - S2-E21

Corrected entry: Derek tells Meredith to do an MRI on the lady that has a fork stuck in her neck. But an MRI-machine is actually a huge magnet; that's why there's absolutely no metal allowed inside of it. Doing an MRI on someone with a fork stuck in her neck is extremely dangerous.

Correction: Not all metal is magnetic so "absolutely no metal allowed" is incorrect. People with metal hardware in their bodies have MRI's all the time. Cutlery is sometimes magnetic but this could be checked with a small magnet first. An MRI would then be the best type of scan for this situation if it was not magnetic.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight - S8-E18

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the episode, when Meredith, Derek and Zola see the lion crossing the street in front of the car, the lion roars and it is clear that the lion is not missing any teeth. However, later in the episode, Richard removes a tooth that had gotten lodged in the male mauling victim's arm.

Laura Ashley Keefer

Correction: They saw the lion before he attacked the victims so the lion would not be missing any teeth yet.

No, the first person was correct as the person owned the lion so it was in their house, attacked them, then left and was in the street.

Man on the Moon - S10-E11

Corrected entry: At April's wedding, in 3 scenes with Arizona you can see her real life pregnancy, this is why she wasn't seen in the next episode following this.

Alice Baker

Correction: Jessica Capshaw was not pregnant during season 10, just during seasons 7, end of 8 and beginning of 9 and 12.

I Saw Her Standing There - S9-E4

Corrected entry: When Arizona is trying to stand up on her prosthetic, Alex walks in and she falls down. Her prosthetic is on her left leg. When she stands up in front of the doctor who helps her try out prosthetics, the prosthetic is on her right leg. The left leg is the correct one, as seen in Flight (Season 8, episode 24). (00:32:45 - 00:35:15)

Correction: She looks into a mirror, that's why it look like it's the right leg but the prosthetic is on the left leg.

Elevator Love Letter - S5-E19

Corrected entry: When Dr Shepphard walks into the OR to start the brain surgery on Izzy, after already scrubbing, he touches his forehead and surgical cap. He would not have done this as he would then contaminate himself, forcing him to re-scrub.

Boobra

Correction: True but this is not a mistake of the show. Human flaws and lapses in judgement (such as a surgeon absentmindedly touching their forehead) are not movie/show mistakes. This probably happens in real life more than anyone could know, and much worse things happen in an OR as well.

Tango

Winning a Battle, Losing the War - S1-E3

Corrected entry: When Meredith is done stitching up the biker, he sits up and says: "ELLEN, I'd do anything for you"

Correction: When Meredith is done stitching up Viper, he actually says, "Darling, I'd do anything for you."

Deny, Deny, Deny - S2-E4

Corrected entry: In the scene where Preston finally finds Christina alone, he walks into her room that has a door with a rectangular window in it and a white box with stickers above a glove box on the wall next to the door. When Preston starts to tell her what else she could have said by saying, "Plenty. For starters," Christina interrupts him by saying, "Oh, look. It's my mother." We see her mother come into room and shut a solid wood door. There is a picture/print on the wall next to the door. They are all in a different room! When Christina and her mother really start to squabble, Christina says, "Oh, me? I'm unpleasant?" Preston starts backing away to leave and all of the sudden they are now back in the original room, with rectangular window in the door (that is open) and the white box with stickers above the glove box on the wall next to the door.

Sheri Hartman

Correction: It is not a different room. Dr. Preston Burke came through the main door which leads into the hospital hallways, and from Christina's point of view, would be to her left. But the door her Mother comes through, while it is different, it is not meant to be the same door. As we clearly see, her Mother walks in from Christina's right. Therefore her Mother was not entering through the same door as Burke did. Perhaps it was a toilet?

The Name of the Game - S2-E23

Corrected entry: Denny and Izzy are playing Scrabble - he puts down a word, announcing "triple word score", but his word's part-way into the board, not touching any corners. All the triple word score squares in Scrabble are on the corners.

Jon Sandys Premium member

Correction: There are eight, not four, triple word score boxes on a Scrabble board. There is one in each corner and one at the halfway point on each side. It is one of these that Denny is using.

Show generally

Corrected entry: In Season 1 Episode 9, Christina pronounces the dead patients condition incorrectly. She says Haemotomachrosis. The condition is Haemochromotosis.

Correction: Character mistake.

Ictoabu

Show generally

Corrected entry: Season 3: Episode 1 (s. 2 recaps) When an exhausted and annoyed Miranda is wheeled in the elevator she warns "I may be 47 months pregnant but." (she obviously meant weeks).

Correction: This is not a mistake. She was exaggerating as most people do, ie: "I have a million things to do today".
