Character mistake: In arguing Alan Shore should be fired, Paul Lewiston says he conducts himself disreputably at every firm he's worked for, and that his last firm sued him. This would seem to be a reference to the final season of "The Practice." However, it was Alan who was the one to sue Young, Frutt and Berluti, claiming wrongful termination. In fact, the reason Alan is even associated with Crane, Poole and Schmidt to begin with is because they're the firm he hired to sue YFB, leading to Denny offering him a job.
Still Crazy After All These Years - S1-E2
Character mistake: Speaking to Denny Crane, Paul Lewiston brings up how they had ringside seats to what he says was Muhammad Ali's last fight. Lewiston recalls Ali losing to Larry Holmes, which would be the Oct. 2, 1980 fight. However, Ali's final fight was against Trevor Berbick, a loss via decision in 10 rounds, Dec. 11, 1981. (00:37:15)
Character mistake: Lorraine mistakenly tells Denny to "call 999" instead of 911, and when asked about it by Katie, denies having ever spent time in the UK (later revealed to be a lie). But this isn't some high-pressure slip of the tongue, she's highly intelligent and has been in America for a decent length of time, is working hard to maintain her facade of being born and bred American, so there's no way she'd slip up over such an obvious thing.
