Continuity mistake: When Mike comes home soon and finds Susan in sexy lingerie in the living room, the laptop reads 0:00:36. Mike grabs Susan in his arms while she desperately tries to shut off the laptop, but only seven seconds later the screen reads 0:06:33. Then the camera switches again and the laptop reads 0:02:47 when Susan finally shuts the screen. (00:14:45)
Revealing mistake: In the opening scene with Tom and Lynette, Lynette is standing in the doorway to her house but the interior in the background is different to the interior of her house. there is a blue wall in place where an open plan stair should be. (00:01:00)
Continuity mistake: Lynette climbs on the bed to speak to Tom and is wearing black soled shoes. After they finish talking she is on the bed barefooted. (00:37:34 - 00:38:25)
Other mistake: Lynette says "I also have a 9 year old", but on Penny's birthday not long before that she turned 11, and the only younger sibling Penny has is the baby.
Suggested correction: And in the episode with Penny's 11th birthday, her parents forgot it was her birthday and in the last minute of planning, her birthday cake said "Polly." Hard to say if it was intentional to show what kind of mother she is or accidental/bad script writing.
Literally addressed in the show, she said she put the wrong name because they had been discussing the name for the baby.
Revealing mistake: When Felicia pulls the urn of Beth's ashes out of the bag in the house, Harriet Sansom Harris' left hand is briefly visible, including the fingers that Felicia is supposed to be missing.

Continuity mistake: Right after Carlos kills Alejandro with the candlestick, he throws the candlestick to the left of Alejandro's body. But a few seconds later the candlestick has suddenly moved to near Alejandro's head.
Secrets That I Never Want to Know - S8-E1
Character mistake: When Gabby and Bree go to move Gabby's stepfather's car, they realise his car is a stick shift and Gabby says that she has driven a stick shift only once in high school. This is incorrect, as in season 7 episode 8, Gabby has to drive Hector's car home, which was also a stick.
Secrets That I Never Want to Know - S8-E1
Continuity mistake: When Gaby looks for her stepfather's car with Bree, Chuck takes over and drives it for them. But in past episodes the stepfather's Ford Focus was a two door model not a four door.
Continuity mistake: When Lynette asks Jane to not steal Tom from her, the door behind Lynette goes from being open ajar to fully closed between shots.
Character mistake: When Bree calls the police when she hears a noise downstairs, she says she lives at 4355 Wisteria Lane when her address is in fact 4354 Wisteria Lane. 4355 is the Scavo residence, not the Van De Kamp residence.
Continuity mistake: As Chuck is speaking to Ben, the amount of sunlight on the lamppost behind Chuck keeps changing between shots.
