Continuity mistake: When Jake is asking Charlie for advice on what to do, because his girlfriend dumped him, Alan's hands keep changing place.
Factual error: In Season 9/episode 21, Alan is staying at Lindsey's house when he goes to the basement to solve an electrical problem. He is electrocuted by a fuse box but fuse boxes were replaced by circuit breakers beginning in the 1950s. Lindsey's house as seen in a previous exterior shot is of modern vintage.
Continuity mistake: Ms. Pasternacker was Jake's 4th grade teacher in earlier seasons, however in this episode, everyone says she was his 5th grade teacher.
Continuity mistake: In many different episodes, there is a ball ornament on the outside deck railing that appears and disappears randomly, almost as if it were completely loose all the time.

Continuity mistake: When Missi and Walden are sitting at the kitchen table, discussing what being in love feels like, Missi reaches across the table and places her right hand on Walden's right hand. The shot changes to a different angle, and now it's Missi's left hand that is on Walden's right hand. They switch back to the original angle, and it's her right hand back on his hand again. Continuity mistake: In the scene at breakfast when they first meet Sandy, the top piece of toast changes from dark to light between shots.

However, at the start, Alan is kicked out, and it's several months later that Judith files for divorce as he receives the papers and it's a plot point in that episode (S1 E8).
Answer: That would be "Corey's Been Dead For an Hour" in season 4, episode 9.
