Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (1993)

1 corrected entry in Master Vile and the Metallic Armor (2)

(4 votes)

Master Vile and the Metallic Armor (2) - S3-E29

Corrected entry: When Master Vile's monster drains power from Ninjor, we can see that some of Ninjor's appearance transfers over the monster. When the monster does this to the Rangers however, the appearance drain matches of the Aquitain Rangers (Who had not yet come into the series). This is because Saban had carried over the costumes from the previous series, so that all 6 Rangers could remain (Due to their only being 5 Aquitain Rangers).

Correction: Actually this was because all of the Zord battle footage (and therefore the footage of Globber fighting them), was taken from the Sentai series KakuRanger. The KakuRanger were the Alien Rangers of Power Rangers. They were the ones fighting Globber when the footage was made.

Trivia: Portions of every episode are from a Japanese version of the show. Almost every episode in series 1 was two thirds Japanese footage, just voiced over. Saban used this Japanese footage to save on filming its own.

Answer: Probably to save on costs of filming the same scene. In the reused shots they have always morphed so you can't see the actors. They just have to pay them to do voice-overs rather than the entire scene.
