Stargate SG-1

1969 - S2-E21

Question: When SG-1 are going to P2X-555 (I think) they get sent back in time. Why do they come out in Cheyenne Mountain instead of the boxed stargate in Washington DC?

Answer: Carter explained it in the episode. For a brief moment, they were present in both time periods, which allowed for the Stargate to be there for them to step out of. Agreed, it does make more sense for the Stargate's unstable vortex to punch through its packing crate, but then you wouldn't end up with the hilarious "I'm Luke Skywalker" scene.

The Serpent's Lair (3) - S2-E1

Question: How did Daniel get into the sarcophagus all on his own in order to heal his staff weapon wound? Then how did he operate the sarcophagus while inside it? Finally, how did he get it to open while inside it? How lucky that he got it opened in time to escape through the gate. Or maybe the real question is, who loaded him in, healed him, and then released him without ever being seen?

Answer: The Goa'Uld who use it do it by themselves as well as observed on many occassions. The sarcophaguses are fully automated. You open it, get in, the thing closes on its own and after a certain period (after the wounds are healed or some preset time) it opens again.

Question: In this episode who are the hippies, and why are they so important? Their names were Michael & Jennifer, and when the team are going back to the future the hippies wanted to go also, but Jack started to tell them something and then stopped. I just want to know if they are someone from future episodes or something.

Chosen answer: Michael and Jennifer have never showed up past this episode. SG-1 led them to believe (with the help of a Zat gun) that they are aliens, they never told them they were actually from the future. They were simply a couple of nice people willing to help.

Question: I know in this episode SG-1 encounters the younger Hammond. Are Michael and Jenny supposed to be younger versions of people SG-1 knows in their present? Or were they just a random couple that helped them out?

Answer: They were just a friendly couple that helped them out.

The Serpent's Lair (3) - S2-E1

Question: OK, so we're all familiar with the whole 'gate priority system, which was ignored by the producers so they could give Earth a second Stargate for some epic foreshadowing of the episodes Nemesis and Redemption Pt. 2. So here goes. Why, when you take that gate priority into consideration, was the SGC able to gate to the Alpha site to start evacuating the "best and brightest" when the 'gate Apophis brought to Earth, presumably to block any outgoing wormholes, had a DHD hooked up? I get that it was necessary to give Daniel and the scum-sucking, overdressed, boom-box-voice, snake-in-the-head, seventh-on our-increasingly-long-list-of-dead-bad-guys (as of Threshold) a way off the Ha'tak before it exploded, but its functionality should have said "NO!" to the SGC's attempts to gate out.

Answer: The gate with priority is the one that will be activated when gating TO Earth. You can still gate out with any available stargate. The plan to prevent escape involves Apophis dialing from his Ha'tak so that a second wormhole can't be opened from SGC.

1969 - S2-E21

Question: Where is the observatory that Jack & Teal'c use to watch for the solar flare supposed to be? Where was it actually filmed?

Answer: Gordon Southam Observatory in Vanier Park, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Out of Mind (1) - S2-E22

Question: This goes for 'Into The Fire' as well. Where did Hathor get her Jaffa? In 'Hathor' she breathed on the men. That doesn't work on Jaffa. Where / how did she get her Ship?

Answer: Once a Goa'uld defeats another, the winner claims all the loser's worlds, ships, Jaffa, etc. Hathor either had a ship hidden or killed another system lord (through treachery most likely) and took over his resources.

Deadman Switch - S3-E7

Aris Boch: Doctor Jackson, if you don't mind treating my wound.
Daniel Jackson: I'm an archaeologist.
Aris Boch: I know. But you're also a doctor.
Daniel Jackson: Of archaeology.
Aris Boch: Never mind. Captain, you must have some medical training.
Samantha Carter: Actually, I'm a major now.
Aris Boch: Oh, well, how very important. I'll inform the galaxy.
