Corrected entry: When Red tells Eric he can drive the car, and they are sitting in it together, Eric turns on the ignition and the stereo can be heard. That is how Red knows Eric drove it and grounds him for a month. But, earlier when Eric moved the car back into the garage before his dad came home, he would have heard the stereo blaring.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene in Bargain Bob's where Donna is talking to Bob, the end of the set and lights can be seen in the reflection of metal cookware that Bob is tying balloons to. (00:07:50)
Red Foreman: Steven, when are you moving out?
Hyde: Soon.
Red Foreman: How's your girlfriend?
Hyde: Shallow as hell.
Red Foreman: Job?
Hyde: Dead-end.
Red Foreman: Future?
Hyde: Bleak.
Red Foreman: Kitty, feed the boy.
[Kitty takes Eric's plate and gives it to Hyde].
Trivia: In the fifth episode of the first season, Donna is left alone to babysit her little sister Tina. Both Tina and Valerie, Donna's older sister, were written off the show, much the same way as Richie's older brother Chuck, on Happy Days, or Laura's younger sister Judy, on Family Matters.
Question: Why is Eric 17 for 6 seasons?
Chosen answer: He isn't. Time moves slowly in the show because they didn't want it to turn into "That '80's Show". In the first episode, he say's he's 17 but the second episode was his 17th birthday so he must have been 16. The first 12 episodes are set in 1976, the next 2 seasons are set in 1977, the next 3 seasons are set in 1978, and the remaining shows take place in 1979 with the final show on Dec 31, 1979 when Eric must be 20 as he turned 17 in 1976.

Correction: Hearing the radio blaring and having the presence of mind to turn it off are two different things. He was probably so used to the radio in his car that it just didn't register that it was on. Besides which, this is a character mistake, not necessarily a mistake for the show.
