Doctor Who

The Caves of Androzani - S21-E6

Trivia: On the DVD commentary, Peter Davison remarks that when Christopher Gable whacked him across the face with the back of his hand, it actually hurt quite a bit, even though they'd discussed it beforehand. Davison believes that Gable couldn't see him properly with his mask on, although a more likely explanation is that Gable got too carried away.

Warriors of the Deep - S21-E1

The Twin Dilemma - S21-E7

Trivia: Colin Baker also provides the voice of a Jacondan at Freighter Control in part three of this story.

The Caves of Androzani - S21-E6

Trivia: This was the final regular appearance of Peter Davison as the Doctor and his favourite serial from his three years on the programme. Davison has said that if he were given more scripts like "The Caves of Androzani" earlier in his run, he might have been persuaded to stay for a fourth season.

The Three Doctors - S10-E1

Revealing mistake: (Part 4) After Omega takes off his mask and looks in the mirror, when he sees that his physical body doesn't exist he puts his mask back on and screams, but when he shouts, "If I exist only by my will, then my will is to destroy," Omega's mask pops up off his face, and we can see the actor's blackened face as he shouts the last bit of his dialogue. The Doctor: You can't rule the world in hiding. You've got to come out on the balcony sometimes and wave a tentacle, if you pardon the expression.

Show generally

Question: In which season and episode is Gallifrey destroyed, or is it just a shocking new plot development for the new series?

Answer: It was never destroyed on-screen; it was intact at the end of the TV movie, and destroyed by the start of the 2005 series. It was destroyed in the novel "The Ancestor Cell," but in a completely different manner to what happened in the series.
