Family Guy

Baby Got Black - S12-E18

Question: At the beginning of the episode, Peter, Quagmire, and Joe are talking about how long they can stay awake for. Joe says that he "never sleeps because something has been beeping in his bedroom for 3 years. Bonnie won't look for it and he can't find it." Is this implying that its some chip inside of him, or in Bonnie, or what?

Toxic_Don

Answer: Just some annoying, semi-lost electronic device like a digital watch with an hourly beep or similar.

Answer: The voiceover in this episode says this is a first draft of "Streetcar", meaning other, more improved and streamlined versions are coming up. Obviously, "Deb" and "Debbie" were rejected in the final draft of "Streetcar" in favor of "Stella" which was the joke.

Scott215

Answer: He is yelling out names of people he has met...he does this at parties.

Life of Brian - S12-E6

Question: Can someone explain the joke where Stewie interrupts a magician's show and tells the audience that the magician drives a Saturn?

Answer: Before the cut away, Stewie says he ruined the magician's act. When we see him on stage, the viewer thinks Stewie is going to tell the audience how the magician isn't really cutting a woman in half and how it's done, ruining the act. But instead just insults him. The Saturn car company is now defunct and no new Saturns have been made since 2009, this episode aired in 2013, so the magician must not be very good or successful if that's all he can afford to drive. The joke is just that by pointing out someone drives a Saturn will ruin them.

Into Harmony's Way - S12-E7

Question: Am I missing a joke here? At Mort's pharmacy, Peter says that he has $30,000 in credit card debt. And "five years salary, tax-free" would not put a dent in his problem. How is this possible? He is often the main or only income-earner in the household. I would expect just one year of his salary to be about $30,000, if not more.

Answer: The $30k was part of the song they were singing and Peter may have picked a number based on syllables to fit, not his actual debt. His actual debt maybe much higher as indicated by 5-years not putting a dent in it.

Quagmire's Quagmire - S12-E3

Question: The scene where Quagmire wakes up at Sonja's apartment, he gets up and tells her that he's going to the bathroom. She stops him and tells him to take the wine glass and that they can use it later. What does this mean?

Kingamnesiac

Chosen answer: She wants him to pee in the wine glass to use the urine in sexual play.

Underage Peter - S14-E14

Plot hole: They're in the Clam complaining that they can't drink when they make the revelation that Brian can because he's technically 56. But Quagmire should be able to drink, as in a much earlier episode, he's revealed to be over 60.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Quagmire considers the rest of them to be his best friends. He isn't drinking because they can't drink. He is complaining because since his friends can't drink - he won't drink, so he is still pissed.

It's still a plot hole considering Quagmire's age. I think the writers messed up big time.

You make a good point, but it's awkward to be that one person who is drinking while surrounded by people who can't. So, I understand the correction that was submitted above. Because his friends are not drinking, he now feels that he can't.

It's 100% a mistake. Quagmire simply would buy them alcohol the same way Brian did when they realized he could.

Barely Legal - S5-E8

Connie: You know, Meg, there's no dogs allowed. So, you're going to have to leave. But Brian can stay.
Brian Griffin: You know, Connie, I think I have this theory about why you're such a bitch.
Connie: Excuse me?
Meg Griffin: Brian, let's just go.
Brian Griffin: No, no, no, no, no, no. Hang on a minute, Meg, hang on. You see, Connie, you're popular because you developed early and started giving handjobs when you were twelve. But now you can't stand to look in the mirror because all you see is a whore. So you pick on Meg to avoid the inevitable realization that once your body's used up by age nineteen, you're gonna be a worn out chalky skinned burlap sack that even your own stepdad won't want. How is that? Am I in the ballpark?
[Connie runs off crying].

Grumpy Old Man - S10-E9

Trivia: One of the cutaway gags is about someone who survived 9/11 because he was late for work watching late night football. Seth MacFarlane missed his flight, which would have been one of the flights to crash into the World Trade Center, because his agent had given him the incorrect departure time. The plane was scheduled to depart at 7:45 AM and his agent had told him it was departing at 8:15 AM. By the time Seth arrived the boarding had been closed and he was told he would have to catch a later flight.
