Continuity mistake: When Dr Cox is talking to his old mentor after his infection, the oxygen tube in his nose appears out of nowhere after he says "I'm feeling great, Bob."
Continuity mistake: When Kelso gives Cox the rounds and Cox is surprised, he starts spanking himself with the clipboard. Notice the two women about to walk past Cox. One is in a red top, one in pink. The next shot they are passing the doors, which is well ahead of Cox. The following shot they are about to pass Cox again.
Other mistake: While trying to attract Dr. Cox's attention, J.D. switches off his television, using the manual on/off switch on the set itself, rendering the television inactive. After throwing J.D. out, Cox turns the television back on using the remote, and that isn't possible. He'd have to get up and switch the television on using the manual switch before the remote would operate, because J.D. didn't switch the television onto standby - the standby light goes out - he switches the television OFF.

Character mistake: Spelling mistakes on the medical board! they've spelled "appendix" and "tonsillectomy" wrong in a hospital. (00:03:25)
Continuity mistake: If you watch when Alex slips on the wet floor, you can see the woman from behind has longish hair, extending past her shoulders. In subsequent episodes we see Alex's hair is much shorter than the one that falls in this episode.
Character mistake: When Elliot asks Kelso if there is a special way to communicate with the nurses. Kelso grabs Elliot by the arm and his hand being placed on her sleeve and pull her to the side while still holding her arm, when the camera angels changes from the close-up his hand placement is lower and not on Elliot's sleeve but on her skin.
