Continuity mistake: When JD suggests that Dr Cox turns to Elliot for help, the metal file that Dr Cox is holding turns around between shots. In some shots we see the plain, smooth side - in others, the ridged side with a label.

Continuity mistake: When Turk and Elliott are in the line at the cafeteria, you can see that Turk has two plates on his tray and Elliott has a juice box on her tray. When they turn around at the end of the line Turk has just one plate on his tray and the juice box on Elliott's tray is also gone.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where JD is watching Dr Cox and Elliot talking, Dr Cox is holding a metal file which vanishes when he jumps up to sit on the counter top.

Continuity mistake: When Turk, JD and Todd are at the nurses' station, the metal file in JD's hand has the labelled side facing outwards. In the next shot as he turns around to face Carla, the plain side of the file faces outwards.

Continuity mistake: When JD is done talking with Kelso, JD is holding a file in his hands. JD says "I'm the wiz kid." and it cuts to a close-up of the Janitor wetting JD's pants, but the file is no longer in his hands.

Continuity mistake: When JD and Elliot are talking when they first enter the hospital, JD's stethoscope moves between shots from sitting over his name tag, to resting on top of it.

Continuity mistake: When J.D. picks up the granddaughter to blow out the candles on the cake, there are 3 candles placed at the front of the cake in the camera close up, but there weren't any before he picked her up. (01:17:35)

Continuity mistake: When the Janitor's dad tells him to drop and give him 30, the Janitor throws his mop and it lands to the floor. But in the next shot it's standing up in the mop-bucket. (00:13:10)
