Only The Good... - S8-E8

Corrected entry: In an attempt to stop Ackerman from finding Baxter's hooch when the cell is being inspected, Rimmer and Lister decide to drink the remaining bottles of hooch. Even if they thought they could drink the hooch bottles before Ackerman arrived to inspect, they still would have the empty bottles inside the cell with them, so drinking the hooch would have been completely ineffective in the long run. Casual Person

Correction: An empty bottle isn't contraband, only its contents. They could have refilled them with water, minimising any scent of the hooch.

Only The Good... - S8-E8

Corrected entry: When Rimmer and Lister discover Kryten has planted Baxter's hooch in their cell, the only solutions that they can come up with is emptying the bottles into the sink and toilet, before deciding to drink it. In S8 E6 Pete (Part 1), it is shown that their cell had a ceiling duct used to allow Bob the Skutter to give Lister his meal. They could have easily planted the hooch in the duct, but that isn't even considered. It is unlikely they would have forgotten about the duct given the limited amount of places in the cell that they could hide it. (00:12:40)

Casual Person

Correction: A search of their cell would likely also include a search of an easily accessible ventilation duct for contraband goods.

Correction: Who said the time wand's effects are permanent?

M-Corp - S12-E5

Other mistake: When Cat picks up the can of Leopard lager which is invisible to Lister, he shakes it, pops the cap and sprays Lister with foam. The foam is visible but the can remains invisible, and that makes no sense. If we are seeing the scene from Cat's point of view the can and foam should both be visible, and if it is from Lister's then neither should be.

Nanarchy - S7-E8

Lister: What, they fixed your core program and then decided they'd be better off without you?
Holly: Yeah, it was shortly after they met me.

Meltdown - S4-E6

Trivia: "Meltdown" was originally planned to be the first episode of Series IV of Red Dwarf. However, the militaristic tone of this episode - and in particular Dave Lister's strident anti-war speech near The End of the episode - meant it fell foul of the BBC censors. The original planned transmission date (Feb 14 1991) coincided with the outbreak of "Operation Desert Storm" - the Gulf War...and the BBC felt that an "anti-war" episode of Red Dwarf would be inappropriate for a country at war with Iraq.

More trivia for Red Dwarf

Answer: Presumably he does, but it's never been used in any material related to the show. He is the only Cat left (as shown in Series 1), so even if he had once had a name, nobody would know it.

Moose

Answer: In the book, the Cat finds the concept of a name confusing, as he's convinced he's the center of the universe and the idea that someone wouldn't know who he was is baffling.
