Season 4 generally

Corrected entry: Throughout this show, it is apparently possible to drive between any two locations in the Los Angeles area within half an hour. It takes Jack approximately half an hour to drive from the downtown train station where he sees Khalil lead Andrew away to isolated areas that seem to be at the edge of the city (we hear it is Ventura County). Even if the streets were empty, the Los Angeles area is large enough that this would not be possible in real life.

Correction: The producers always made a huge point about being accurate about distances and time, and it is doubtful that they dropped this for season 4. The trainstation in question is not the central city's central station, but one of the suburbs.

Season 4 generally

Corrected entry: It is not clear what time during the year this particular day takes places. It is a weekday, which we know the office in which Jack secures the override device from Habib is filled with workers. However, neither Behrooz nor Debbie go to school. It cannot be summertime because the sun sets before 7PM which is not realistic. At the same time, there is a school bus in the scene where Jack is following the terrorist Khalil toward the location where Heller and Audrey are being held hostage. If its during spring or winter break the bus would not be there.

Correction: Private schools and public schools can have spring break on different dates. And school buses can be used for organized trips, not necessarily on days when school is in session. There is not enough in this submission to justify that a mistake was made.

Season 1 generally

Question: Was Nina recruited as a spy before she joined CTU or after? Also, as she wasn't working just for the Drazens, what was her primary mission?

Answer: According to Jack in season 5, Nina was "deep cover" before the pair ever met, so it's safe to assume she was recruited before she joined CTU. As for what her primary mission was, who knows? Perhaps it was to gather sensitive intel and pass it on to her superiors. Given that she worked for an intelligence agency, it's not a stretch. Or perhaps we may find out in season seven.
