Revealing mistake: When Samantha is surprised at Richard's apartment by his assistant, she quickly throws her towel around herself to cover up. But the towel rides up too far, and you can see that Kim Cattrall is wearing tan or nude colored underwear. Soon after that, Samantha makes a comment to the assistant that implies she was nude under the towel. So the panties were probably for the benefit of the actress, to protect her modesty below the waist. (00:21:40)
Plot hole: When there is a close-up shot of Charlotte and Harry's wedding announcement in the New York Times, there is a large article to the left and above. If you read what it says, it appears to actually be a tongue-in-cheek wedding announcement referencing Mr. Big and Natasha's former wedding. The college information is off (Rutgers instead of Tulane), but some of the other information alludes to their previous wedding in the Hamptons, and how they met. Also the name Natasha is mentioned several times. Yet we know that this wedding happened some time ago, so it couldn't possibly be running in that day's New York Times. (00:16:45)
Continuity mistake: When Samantha first puts on the gold necklace in the hotel room, the pendants dangling on the right side are lying over the right lapel of her blouse. But after Samantha walks the housekeeper out the door and turns to face Richard, suddenly the same pendants on the necklace are underneath the lapel, though she did not have a chance to fix the necklace in this time. Revealing mistake: When Charlotte arrives at Carrie's apartment to pick her up, Carrie is in the shower. As Charlotte walks towards the bathroom, there is a clear shot of Carrie showering. Sarah Jessica Parker appears to be wearing some sort of minimal tan colored undergarments, to protect her modesty while filming. (00:24:20)
Plot hole: When Charlotte places her ring box in front of Carrie on the table at the restaurant, there is a close-up shot showing that she is still wearing her simple gold wedding band on her right hand. The entire episode has emphasized that it's strange for Charlotte to still be wearing her diamond engagement ring when she is alone, since she is getting a divorce. So why is nothing mentioned about her continuing to wear her gold wedding band? That doesn't seem to be an issue, but wouldn't it be just as strange? (00:26:40)
Plot hole: When Aiden suddenly shows up below Carrie's window the night of their dinner together, she gets up and looks down at him from her apartment. He suddenly starts to run into the building, and at the same time Carrie immediately starts running quickly through her small apartment to get to the front door. It would have only taken Carrie a few seconds to get across her apartment, but Aiden would have had to run up the three or four flights of stairs to reach the front door of Carrie's apartment . That would obviously have taken much longer; yet as soon as Carrie opens the door, Aiden is already there and running into the apartment. (00:25:25)
Continuity mistake: During the scene when Carrie and Sam are in the changing booth at the clothing store, Carrie starts helping Sam take his shirt off. She pulls the outer plaid shirt down quite a bit, revealing his white undershirt. But in the next shot of him, Sam suddenly has the plaid shirt back up around his neck. Then in his next shot, it's back down and the white undershirt is showing again.
