Revealing mistake: When the baby is about to be baptised, it is replaced by a blatant doll: The doll's arm is stretched out (as opposed to the real baby's arms, tucked in his robe), and the doll's hair is very obviously painted.
Continuity mistake: When Miranda greets Steve's mom, she holds the umbrella straight upwards, but from the opposite angle it's bent backwards covering Miranda's back.
Continuity mistake: When Miranda asks Steve if his mom is drunk, her umbrella swaps from lying on her left shoulder to lying on the opposite side.
Continuity mistake: The way Steve's mom's plastic bag is tied around her head changes between shots. Check the knot.
Continuity mistake: When Steve arrives with his mom, he is either standing on the left of the cab's door or on the right.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie is sitting with the publishers, the woman on the left puts down her glass twice.

Continuity mistake: When Carrie and Miranda are getting on the bus to Atlantic City, an older lady dressed in pink is sitting down right behind them. As the scene continues, we can see many more people filing onto the bus as the girls talk. But in the next shot of the entire bus, suddenly there is no one at all behind Carrie and Miranda. Not even the lady in pink; the entire bus behind them is empty, although people are still getting on. (00:09:25 - 00:10:35)
Continuity mistake: When Samantha first puts on the gold necklace in the hotel room, the pendants dangling on the right side are lying over the right lapel of her blouse. But after Samantha walks the housekeeper out the door and turns to face Richard, suddenly the same pendants on the necklace are underneath the lapel, though she did not have a chance to fix the necklace in this time. Continuity mistake: When Sam leaves her pearly thong on top of the papers, the pearls lie on the papers in the first shot, but over the fabric in the close-up.
Continuity mistake: During breakfast, in the back shots of blonde Sam a brunette stand-in takes her place.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie picks up Miranda she is standing still in both the front and back shots. Then Miranda starts to move and says "I'm kidding!" but the angle shot from behind still shows her stiff as a stick.

Revealing mistake: When Samantha is walking down a busy NYC street talking on her cell to Carrie, you can see a man in a blue jacket walking right behind her. The next shot of him; he suddenly pulls out an obvious black camera and takes a photo, aiming it directly at Samantha in front of him. This is apparently not an 'extra', but someone on the street who wanted to take a picture of Kim. There are also a lot of other people in the background walking behind her at this point. But in the next shot of Samantha still walking on the same street and talking on the phone, there are suddenly no people right behind her at all. It's an empty space, and no time has passed for them to have dispersed. They may have cleared the area behind her; because people weren't behaving properly during filming, such as the man taking her picture. This would normally be a continuity error; except that in this case I believe the sudden change in background was due to the guy taking the picture inappropriately, not just a slip in background filming. Continuity mistake: Carrie goes inside the changing booth to try on the pink outfit. Then after Stanford and Marcus arrive, Carrie suddenly whips the curtain open to reveal herself completely changed into the new outfit including shoes, after only 21 seconds. These events happen in real time; and there is no logical way that Carrie could have changed from one complete outfit to another in that time. (00:17:45)
