Ring a ding ding - S4-E16

Plot hole: When Carrie sits down to read Aiden's 'farewell letter,' she discovers he has left her legal papers instead. Miranda later examines the legal documents, and explains the terms at the restaurant. But Aiden has only just moved out that day, and had spent the previous night in the apartment next door. (This was made clear in the previous episode, when Carrie explains in voiceover that 'the next day, Aiden moved out'.) He has spent the day moving his things out; there is no logical way he would have had time to contact a legal firm, make an appointment, go to the appointment, make arrangements to deal with Carrie's apartment, and have complex legal documents drawn up and ready to give to Carrie. None of this could have possibly happened between the night before when Aiden decided to end the relationship, and the next day when he physically moved out. No additional time has passed, as Carrie asks him to stay 'one more day', implying this really is the day after the previous episode. (00:04:25)

Ring a ding ding - S4-E16

Revealing mistake: When Charlotte is putting her diamond ring on in her apartment, there is a close-up shot of it. It is a large, circular diamond on a simple golden band. This is not the same diamond engagement ring she has been wearing previously in the series. That ring had two parallel silver bands, and the diamond looked slightly different. (00:10:10)

Ring a ding ding - S4-E16

Revealing mistake: When Samantha is surprised at Richard's apartment by his assistant, she quickly throws her towel around herself to cover up. But the towel rides up too far, and you can see that Kim Cattrall is wearing tan or nude colored underwear. Soon after that, Samantha makes a comment to the assistant that implies she was nude under the towel. So the panties were probably for the benefit of the actress, to protect her modesty below the waist. (00:21:40)

Ring a ding ding - S4-E16

Plot hole: When Charlotte places her ring box in front of Carrie on the table at the restaurant, there is a close-up shot showing that she is still wearing her simple gold wedding band on her right hand. The entire episode has emphasized that it's strange for Charlotte to still be wearing her diamond engagement ring when she is alone, since she is getting a divorce. So why is nothing mentioned about her continuing to wear her gold wedding band? That doesn't seem to be an issue, but wouldn't it be just as strange? (00:26:40)

A vogue idea - S4-E17

Continuity mistake: Right before the '3-way'; Samantha takes off the top of her lingerie/dress and pushes it down to her waist, to reveal a strapless black bra she is wearing underneath. She does this in response to the younger girl removing her top, and they are both obviously getting ready for the main event. But in the next shot when Samantha is kissing Richard in bed, she is suddenly wearing the black lingerie/dress pulled back up over her shoulders again. Why would she put the dress back on, after removing it for sex? (00:23:10)

Suggested correction: That shot of her wearing the dress in bed is not immediate. She could have been foreplaying or he could have asked her to keep the dress on.

A vogue idea - S4-E17

Continuity mistake: When Charlotte is crying into the pillow, we can see that she's gotten black eye make-up on it. The splodges of make-up disappear twice during the scene, most noticeable just when Carrie walks in holding the baby.

Charlotte: How can you forget a guy you've slept with?
Carrie: Toto, I don't think we're in single digits anymore.
