Continuity mistake: This episode takes up exactly where the previous one (Empty Places) left off. Anya now has curly hair, but she had straight hair at the end of Empty Places.
Continuity mistake: The morning after Buffy is bitten by Dracula, her house address can be seen as "1313" instead of "1630."
Continuity mistake: When Anya is sneaking into Spikes room after she closes the door the shot goes to spike and the sheet is lying square across his stomach and the camera goes back to Anya she then walks over to the chest of drawers and we see spike in the shot and the sheet is now lying at an angle so we can see his hip.
Continuity mistake: When Buffy and Willow are talking about the sham of Thanksgiving Day at the groundbreaking ceremony, on one angle (the one where Buffy's face is shown) there is a strong wind blowing, moving their hair about, but in the other (when you can see Willow's face) their hair aren't moving.
Continuity mistake: In 'Gone', when invisible Buffy is typing on the social worker's keyboard the letter 'B' is pressed several times. When she prints what she's been typing seconds later it's revealed to be "All work and no play make Doris a dull girl", a phrase which contains no 'B's. (00:21:10)
Continuity mistake: In 'Graduation Day, Part 1' when Buffy and Faith are fighting Faith falls into a table, knocking all the comics on it onto the floor. In one or two later shots you can see (on the very edge of the screen) that there's still a comic on it. (00:38:20)
Continuity mistake: In 'Becoming, part 1' as Buffy kneels over Kendra's corpse you can see the door over her shoulder, it stays closed all the time. There is a cut to a shot of Buffy from behind showing a cop raising his gun, but he couldn't have come through the door without us seeing him in the last shot. (00:43:10)
School Hard - S2-E3
Continuity mistake: In this episode, when Giles is looking for information about Spike, he finds that Spike is barely 200. But, in season four episode seven we find out that Spike is actually 126. Which would make him 124 in "School Hard."
Continuity mistake: When Buffy comes in to talk to her mum about the CAT scan, we hear her shut the door behind her. We then cut to a shot of Buffy, and can see the door slightly ajar in the background. (00:10:30)
Continuity mistake: When Willow hands Giles the pages she stole from the books of ascension, initially the folded side faces to the left, with loose edges of pages to the right, then in the next shot the folded edge is now on the right. (00:36:25)
Continuity mistake: When Adam enters the cave and is talking to the vampires and then pulls the head off of one of them, watch as he falls, his head is still visible when he is falling out of frame. (00:15:25)
Some Assembly Required - S2-E2
Continuity mistake: In the episode 'Some Assembly Required' Eric takes photos of Cordelia and Buffy near the start, when he's developing them later the poses in the photos are different to the way the girls were standing at the time. (00:06:40 - 00:19:05)
Continuity mistake: When Cassie and Dawn were talking, just before Cassie got kidnapped, Cassie put her hand on Dawn's shoulder, but in the next shot, her hands were by her side.
Continuity mistake: When we see Veruca eating at the table, she reaches for a cup as we see Oz coming up behind her. The shot changes and we see her turning around and reaching for the same cup again, though she never had time to put it down.
School Hard - S2-E3
Continuity mistake: When Buffy's fighting Spike at the end of the episode, there are times when it's obvious that it's James Marsters' stunt double. Spike's hair is platinum blonde, slicked back, and all one length in the back, while the stunt double's hair is more brassy, spiked in the front, and layered in the back.
Life Serial - S6-E5
Continuity mistake: Warren switches from holding Jonathan's magic bone with one hand to two hands between front and reverse shots. (00:19:10)
Continuity mistake: The wreath on the front door of the Summer's house disappears just after Tara tells Willow she will be doing the spell. It reappears in the next shot from outside the house.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode when Buffy is fighting the demon, she stabs it and the demon lands half on top of her. When they fall to the ground, you can see a big stain on her pants where the demon touched her. But when she stands up, her pants are clean.
Chosen answer: "So goes the nation" seems to have been used on many occasions, with various different US states in the "As .... goes" section. Most commonly it seems to be California that's considered to lead the way, but probably most other states have appeared in the lead role at some point or another. Other things have also been used - no less a person that Pope John Paul II said "As the family goes, so goes the nation...". The origin of the quote format is unclear - in US politics it goes back into the 19th century, when it was Maine that held the title spot, but, while no definitive origin is known, it seems highly likely that it goes back considerably further than that.
