The New World - S1-E1

Character mistake: When Juliana puts the film on the projector she loads the reel backwards. The film is supposed to drop from the front of the reel, not the back.

Revelations - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: Frank is at the Japanese Crown Prince's event, and he pulls out a single action revolver with the hammer already down. A few seconds later, as he's about to raise the revolver, the hammer is somehow up, and he begins cocking the hammer to make the gun operational. (00:49:40 - 00:50:20)

The New Normal - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: The officer committing seppuku is seen drawing his blade, and the katana of his kaishakunin is still sheathed. He grunts as he is about to thrust his blade, and the kaishakunin is now holding his katana in the air, ready to behead the officer. When the officer thrusts his blade into his body, the kaishakunin has a sheathed katana again, just about to draw. (00:21:05)

The New Normal - S1-E5

Factual error: The kaishakunin decapitates the officer completely. Traditionally, the kaishakunin should perform dakikubi, leaving a small piece of flesh attached while severing the spinal cord and other parts of the neck so the head does not fly off. The kaishakunin in the show did not attempt to achieve this at all. (00:21:15)

Kindness - S1-E9

Plot hole: Under Nazi and Japanese rule the infirm, handicapped, critically ill, and mentally ill are considered sub-human and are executed. Ed's grandfather lives under this dictatorship, but he's rolling around in a wheelchair in his apartment. (00:13:00 - 00:16:56)

Kindness - S1-E9

Factual error: In the transition shot showing Hobart Building in San Fransisco, items not belonging to the scene are visible and have not been edited out. These items include; modern phone numbers, web addresses for several companies and educational institutions, satellite dishes and American flags. (00:24:10)

A Way Out - S1-E10

Other mistake: It's 1962 and in this reality the Nazis and the Japanese empire won WWII, therefore the United States, Europe, Russia lost. Africa is enslaved. The Japanese detectives go to a suspect's house who turns to be a Nazi soldier who shot the Japanese emperor to instigate a war between the two nations. The Japanese detectives locate a Russian made SVD-63 aka Dragunov, 7.62x54r caliber. How could Russia be making weapons if it was occupied or annihilated? Under these dictatorships weapons are banned. (00:07:30 - 00:09:30)

Suggested correction: This requires too much speculation on what the world would look like after nearly 20 years of an alternate history timeline. We don't exactly know the full fate of Russia in this timeline, and it's very likely that after Germany conjured it, they continued to allow manufacturing of Russian tech and weapons to serve Germany. Or even other events have unfolded we just don't see or know about yet. Perhaps Russia continued to fight, and we just don't see it.

Detonation - S2-E9

Continuity mistake: In the flashback when Ed and Juliana are talking at the picnic table, there is a bottle of beer on the table in front of Ed. The bottle is turned so the label is partially facing Ed but angled between him and Juliana. It moves around in a few shots and also at some points is turned so the label is nearly fully facing Ed. Season 3 generally

Other mistake: John is promoted to Oberst Gruppenfeuhrer and assumes the uniform of such. He is soon after promoted to interim Reich Marshal. And then he is subsequently fully promoted to Reich Marshal. But he continues to wear the rank insignia of an Oberst Gruppenfeuhrer.

Suggested correction: John does eventually put on the insignia befitting a Reichsmarschall. It's safe to assume he didn't immediately put it on, either because it took a short time to produce new insignia and send it to him (they wouldn't stock insignia for a rank only a few people hold), or because he was still only acting Reichsmarschall.

You have a point. Thanks.

In the side view, Juliana is looking more forward but with her eyes cast down as she listens. Then, in the next shot from further away, Juliana is now looking directly at Caroline with her head turned. (00:16:54)

Excess Animus - S3-E7

Revealing mistake: Childen is getting beaten up in his hotel room by a thug, and if you watch the very last punch thrown before the scene changes, you can see that the actor really pulls his punch hard. It doesn't even come close to hitting Childen. (00:40:14)
