Episode #3.4 - S3-E4
Continuity mistake: Camille tests how hard it is to reach the room keys (answer; it is very easy). In close-up the key to 276 is unperturbed and with the actual key to the right of the rock, but in the wide shot the key is to the opposite side of the stone fob. (00:07:55)
Episode #3.4 - S3-E4
Continuity mistake: At the concierge during the first interview, the phone rings. Simone asks "May I?" pointing with her left hand, which becomes the right hand after the cut. (00:09:00)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when Natasha Thiebert walks away from the table, she walks past the colleague in a loud blue and red shirt (Max). In the close-up when she looks back at the table though, Max passes her by again. (00:00:50)
Episode #3.3 - S3-E3
Continuity mistake: A very disappointed Commissioner Selwyn Patterson walks away from the station' stairs and its resident goats. Dwayne then shows the firearm register's entry, but he does it with his left hand, right hand with a really odd flourish, and left again between shots. (00:35:00)
Episode #3.3 - S3-E3
Continuity mistake: When Goodman and Bordey return to the police station after interviewing the Dragon Lady, the Defender's hood is fully in the sun as the Commissioner greets them, half in the shadow when they parked. (00:34:10)
Episode #3.3 - S3-E3
Factual error: Reading the dull travel guide, the island of Saint Marie is said to be 1/10 of Guadeloupe (≈162 km), 1/8 of Dominica (≈94 km), 1/6 of Saint Lucia (≈102 km), 1/5 of Martinique (≈225 km) and 1/3 of Barbados (≈146 km). How big IS Saint Marie then? It makes no sense! These very specific fractions (Goodman praises how meticulous the book is) contradict each other. It should also be noted that this fictional book is from 1929 and none of those entities were independent nations. (00:18:25)
Episode #3.3 - S3-E3
Continuity mistake: Inspecting the crime scene, Camille is looking through the victim's extensive wardrobe and wonders how he could afford all those designer clothes. Dwayne says "Good question. Come."; Camille has her right hand on the edge of the armoire door, but at the next shot it is her left hand, with the right on the other panel of the sliding door. (00:07:45)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: When Humph says."was the intended victim all along", a walking extra in a grey hat quickly pops in view, and disappears in the next shot. He appears again walking in the same direction a couple cuts later, when Dwayne hunches over the trunk (which would be far behind the first point we saw him at). (00:45:00)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: Humph brags about how he discovered about the affair from a cup of tea; in a wide shot of the whole room he then says "Which is also how I figured out..."; in the background, walking left to right is the same man in cream tank and black bandanna that was already doing the same as an extra earlier in the reveal scene ("It was all a deception, of course") and vanishes in the next shot. (00:43:25 - 00:44:25)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the denouement, the hand of Michelle Ryan goes randomly off the table in her close-up, being on it the rest of the time. (00:43:10)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: When Humphrey asks Camille to "do that thing" he "rather enjoyed last time", Sara Martins has her right arm on the desk in the close-ups but she drops it in her lap in the wider angle. (00:42:45)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: Humphrey is doing his Humphrey thing coming up with the solution. He screams "That's it!" In a close-up of the mug on the desk, with a coaster in front of it. But he just pushed the mug aside in the previous shot, close to the chocolate card. (00:42:30)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: Dwayne offers to help the 'Chief' to meet new women. There's some banter with the other colleagues, and then Fidel says that "In a weird way that actually makes sense." Dwayne is holding a book in front of his stomach - in the next shot, he has his arms down his sides, so Fidel can poke him in the tummy. (00:21:35)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: When Camille and Humphrey discuss the 'tea debacle', the yellow cup changes the direction it is facing (look at the handle) several times between shots. The folder of case files she puts on his desk changes direction as well. (00:40:35)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Other mistake: Camille shows Humph some bank statements. Susie's is unreadable at normal speed, while you can tell that Carl Collins' is a January 2014 statement, and Arnold Finch's is a March 2013 one, not quite comparable nor really making sense being so outdated. His totals don't add up at all, either, supposedly being on the brink of financial ruin but with 12,000 in the account after a positive of 4,000, an in payment of 1,200 and a long series of withdrawals and payments. (00:34:00)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: Humph and Camille barge into Carl Collins' bungalow. He almost thinks he got away with the situation when Humph says "Glad we've cleared that up", and removes his hand from the canopy post. But in the next shot he still has his hand there. (00:30:20)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: When Camille is telling Humph that they are going to the airport to pick up his wife, Kris Marshall is leaning with his arm outside the window in the close-up, wasn't in the shot before. (00:27:00)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: When Fidel is talking with Formerly Big Dave, his hat jumps in different positions (in his right hand, under his left arm, in both hands) between cuts. (00:26:30)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: After they spoke with the grumpy writer, Humphrey tells Camille about the domestic dispute in Lexi's hotel room and they both hop in the car. During this part of the scene, there are several extra leaving the screen either left or right and some are shooting hoops in the background. When we see the two cops drive away, they drive by a few people on the road who are the same extras from before and that were going in separate directions. (00:25:00)
Episode #3.2 - S3-E2
Factual error: When Camille shows the emails to Humphrey, the last one in the list is dated Tue 15/01/2014, which was a Wednesday. It should also be noted that the list does not appear to be sorted by any criteria that would work on Outlook Express. (00:22:00)
Answer: There's probably no particular reason. Sets and props on long-running TV shows often change as needed and for various reasons throughout a series run.
