Craig Bryant

Corrected entry: After the "Protectors of the Grail" set the petrol alight to kill Indy and Elsa, they must have thought that they couldn't survive it. Yet they then run out of the library fast and look around to find them, as though they expected them to escape. (00:35:30 - 00:36:45)

Craig Bryant

Correction: Perhaps their goal was not to kill them, but to flush them out of the sewers? They apparently knew the Venice system well and knew that escape was possible. It's not unlikely they knew about Jones and judged him likely to survive, at least likely enough to try to cover the exits.

Perhaps, apparently, not unlikely... While the mistake is not terribly shocking, the correction is mostly speculation.

Spiny Norman

Corrected entry: When a second "volunteer" gets to the first challenge, he looks down and sees a body lying on the floor with its head lying next to it. Yet when he gets decapitated, his head flies off and rolls about 10 meters, before finally being stopped by a rock. (01:40:55)

Craig Bryant

Correction: Considering that this "Booby Trap" was built about 1000 years ago and was powered by gears, you could assume that it wouldn't be precise enough to cut at the exact same speed each time it was tripped. So, each time someone walked through the trap and their head was sliced off it wouldn't land in the same place each time.

Touchstone - S2-E14

Corrected entry: When SG-1 retrieved the Touchstone in Nevada after the thieves escaped through the second gate, why did they not just take the Touchstone back to Medrona using the second gate? Considering the world was on the verge of destruction, they thought they would have the time to fly back to Colarado and use the gate at stargate command. The NID guys escaped through the second gate right before SG1 got the Touchstone. And there was a DHD connected as well, so all they had to do was enter in the address on the DHD.

Craig Bryant

Correction: Because it would be suicide. Getting to Medrona would be fine, but when they got back they would find themselves a smear on the inside of the iris. They didn't have their GDOs, why would they, they are on Earth.

Crystal Skull - S3-E21

Corrected entry: When SG1 and Nick are walking along the bridge inside the cavern near the end where Daniel is 'invisible', they are all evenly spaced out with Daniel in the middle and Nick at the front. But if he was invisible, then the person behind him would have not left so big a gap, it would have been half the size.

Craig Bryant

Correction: No, by this time Nick has convinced them that Daniel is alive and that Nick can see him. He has told them where Daniel is walking.

Avenger 2.0 - S7-E9

Corrected entry: The whole premise for this episode is that we can transmit or implant a virus into a DHD which will scramble the coordinates, so that the symbol on the DHD will not correspond to the same symbol on the gate. Because of this, SG-1 accidentally manage to disable every gate in the gate system. Has everyone forgotten how to manually dial a gate? As the virus only infects the DHD, you can still dial manually, as the DHD is not required when dialing manually.

Craig Bryant

Correction: The gate and DHD are connected, the DHD is mostly a controller and both together operate as a computer, in this case, it is not the DHD that is scrambled, but it is the DHD that has scrambled the gate. This is why Earth's gate was not scrambled, it has no DHD.

Sol Parker

Correction: When Doctor Felger and Major Carter travel to the planet to investigate the virus program, they learn that the original program has been modified, possibly by Ba'al. If the program was modified, it would not behave as originally intended. The two surmise that the modification was done to help Ba'al, and the program was behaving as now intended.

Avenger 2.0 - S7-E9

Corrected entry: Dr. Felger says that his assistant is good with numbers as she says something like "the probability of choosing the correct sequence of 7 non-repeating symbols from a pool from 39 is..." She can't be that good with numbers - the last symbol is known and is always the same (from earth), being the point of origin. So really they are choosing 6 symbols from 38.

Craig Bryant

Correction: If you know the origin planet's symbol, it is 6 in 38, but the origin is not always Earth. Each planet has a different symbol and not all are on the standard 39, many times the origin symbol is picked out because it is not on the standard 39.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Throughout all episodes, when communicating via radio through the gate, they are always talking in real-time. However, there would be a delay on all transmissions equal to the time it takes for an object to travel through the gate.

Craig Bryant

Correction: But it's not an object, it's electromagnetic radiation. It can go both ways through an open gate, which solid objects can't; so why can't it move through the gate faster than solid objects?

J I Cohen

Corrected entry: For the first challenge "only the penitent man will pass", Indy realises that he must kneel. The first blade does miss him, but what about the second blade? Anyone else who kneeled as the instructions pointed out would have been killed by the second blade coming through the floor (which Indy somersaulted over after kneeling).

Craig Bryant

Correction: But if you're kneeling, then you're probably facing the floor, meaning that you can see the slot the blade comes out of and you can avoid the trap. That IS how Indy knew to avoid it, after all.

Corrected entry: Once Indy gets past the blades, he stops them and shouts that he is through, once past the "Leap of Faith", he throws sand on the bridge to make it visible. But what about the "Word of God" device? Indy does not shout what to do, and as pointed out, Donovan & Elsa didn't know what else was in the book (about the final challenge). They didn't even know that the second device was called the "Word of God". Unless she took a wild guess that they had to spell Iehovah...

Craig Bryant

Correction: After Indy climbs back up after mistakenly stepping on the J, and as he figures out he needs to step on the I, Elsa and Donovan can be seen watching him from behind, next to the blades from the first challenge. He didn't need to tell them how to get through it because they were standing right there.

Chimera

Corrected entry: After Maria has left to go back to the abbey the children ask Captain Von Trapp who their next governess will be - he says they won't have one but will have a new mother (the baroness). A little while later in the film when Maria has returned to be a governess, the captain asks her if she is back to stay, and she says "only until arrangements can be made for a new governess". Surely if the Captain is marrying the Baroness no arrangements would need to be made?

Craig Bryant

Correction: Maria doesn't know that, and the Captain simply doesn't correct her misconception.
