R W Hlavac

Corrected entry: When the police investigate the car in which they suspect drugs are being hidden, they really tear it apart - they rip out linings, pull apart fittings, pry off bits and pieces, etc. However, when, after a short period of time, it is returned to the actor who brought it in, he does not notice that it has been tampered with. It really would have taken a much longer time and a lot of the right fittings and materials to put it back together again in such good condition.

Correction: The car which is returned to the owner is a different car that is identical to the original.

Manhunter (1986)

Corrected entry: The shot which follows on immediately after Dollarhyde is shot shows a large stain of blood under him in the shape of a dragon's wings. He could not have lost that much blood that quickly, and it would be impossible for it to form so accurate a shape that fast.

R W Hlavac

Correction: If one of the bullets penetrated the aorta, Dallarhyde would bleed out within seconds. Literally. Impossible to form that shape? Why? Is there some sort of restriction on this kind of thing? Unlikely, maybe, impossible, no.

Corrected entry: When George Clooney and his two pals are about to be hanged and the flooding water saves them, their hands are tied. Yet in the very next scene, when they are floating in the water, their hands are not tied.

R W Hlavac

Correction: In the rush of water that immediately follows the wave, we see several objects floating by. Dimly lit is one of the heros untying and slipping out of his bonds. If one could do it, the others could, too.

The Last Castle (2001)

Corrected entry: It is raining for part of the time while the prisoners are building the wall using mortar. Surely the mortar would become so diltuted in the rain that it wouldn't set?

R W Hlavac

Correction: Cement and mortar will still mix even in the rain, and cement will even harden when at a near soupy liquid consistency. However, it won't be as strong as it normally would have been with less water in it.

Corrected entry: The second time the lady is lowered into the pit, she is saved because the chief baddie falls in such a way that he jams the lowering mechanism. When she is pulled up and reaches the top, the baddie's body has disappeared.

R W Hlavac

Correction: Chattar Lal's body hasn't "disappeared". You can see him nearby, rolling on the ground and clutching at his chest in a frantic attempt to breathe.

Run Lola Run (1998)

Corrected entry: The red ambulance with its siren going is in all three sequences. We learn in the third one that it is carrying Mr Meyer, who was just hurt in a car crash, to the hospital. However, the car crash didn't occur in the first two sequences, so Mr Meyer wasn't hurt. So, why is the ambulance in the first two sequences?

R W Hlavac

Correction: It's the security guard in the ambulance in all 3 sequences.

The Sixth Sense (1999)

Corrected entry: Bruce Willis's clothes are inconsistent. He keeps on wearing the grey shirt (which he was wearing when he was shot), but manages to acquire a tie, suitcoat and overcoat after he is dead.

R W Hlavac

Correction: If you watch the DVD it is explained that Bruce's character wears clothes that he had been wearing on the day that he died (not necessarily the precise moment he died), so that is where he got the tie and coat etc. from.
