The Lake House (2006)

Other mistake: In the hospital, when Alex's father takes the cup of coffee, it is obvious that there is nothing in the cup. He tilts it quite far back - if it had been full of coffee, most of it would have poured down his chest.

Continuity mistake: When Lucy and Jack are walking along the river, a long shot shows them approaching a lamppost with a kissing couple. In the next shot, they pass the lamppost but there is no one there. They finally pass the couple at the next lamppost. (00:46:55)

Suggested correction: The couple is there. They are walking one lamppost before the couple in the long shot, and they are walking very slowly. In the close-up, it shows them just passing the lamppost before the couple. When they do pass the next lamppost, the couple is there as they were in the long shot.

Continuity mistake: When Mary and Beth are standing outside Lucy's booth, there is a man waiting behind them. When Lucy lets them through the turnstile, somehow he has moved inside the gate to the right of the turnstile without going through it, and a woman is in his original position. (00:56:00)

Crank (2006)

Factual error: When Chevy is free-falling from the helicopter, his jacket is flapping gently in the breeze. In reality, he would have been falling so fast that his clothes would have been plastered against his back and flapping wildly in the front.

Step Up (2006)

Factual error: When Norah offers Tyler a ride home, she says she is taking him to her special place near Hampden. That place turns out to be at the docks near the Key Bridge, miles away and nowhere near Hampden. (00:47:55)

Factual error: When Jack is leaving Adam Stanton's apartment, he walks out into an alley. Modern HVAC equipment can be seen mounted on the buildings above him. (01:17:45)

Continuity mistake: In his hotel suite, Stark puts a piece of toast on a plate and spreads jam on it. In the next shot, he is holding the bread and reaching for a plate. (00:56:40)

Continuity mistake: When Jenny returns to the restaurant after putting the fire out, the dark smudge on her chin changes between shots. (00:12:40)

Revealing mistake: Sen. Jordan is supposed to be an expert kayaker, but when paddling his kayak it is very obvious from the way he splashes the tips in the water that he cannot paddle.

Character mistake: When the hijackers separate the lead car and back the rest of the train away, the conductor says in amazement, "I didn't know these things went backwards." Any subway conductor would know that trains run in either direction. Most trains relay (reverse direction) at their terminus, and any subway train can be operated from either end.

Accepted (2006)

Factual error: When the sprinklers go off during the S.H.I.T. party, Maurice yells "Wet T-shirt party!" into the mic and the DJ keeps playing with no problems. In reality, that amount of water would quickly destroy the audio equipment, and in all likelihood electrocute people as well. (01:06:15)

Continuity mistake: When Dwayne has his outburst after discovering that he is color-blind, observe the wheels of the VW stopped at the edge of the highway. In close shots the tires are next to a raised curb, while in distance shots the full tire is visible, right down to the point where they touch the pavement, indicating no raised curb.

The Italian Job (2003)

Revealing mistake: In the shots of the Metro tunnels, the "rails" are flush with the concrete surface, as streetcar tracks would be, to form a level surface that automobiles can easily drive on. In a dedicated right-of-way, however, the engineers would not go to this unnecessary trouble and expense; the rails would simply be mounted on the tunnel floor. Also notable is the presence of crossovers, but the absence of any movable switching equipment, rendering them useless.

The Italian Job (2003)

Factual error: When Steve is measuring the position of the safe, 14' 8" is depicted as 14.8 and 8' 5" is shown as 8.5. This is completely wrong. (00:08:50)

Suggested correction: They wrote it that way because they wanted to. They do not have to write it as 8'5." Short forming would be 8.5 since they know what scale they are using to measure with.

The Italian Job (2003)

The Italian Job mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the Venice water chase, Charlie's boat goes under a bridge toward two green tugs. The tugs are moving apart to let him through, but when he comes out from under the bridge, the two tugs are close together and off to one side. In the very next shot, they are far enough apart to allow Charlie's pursuer to pass between them. (00:14:50)
