Deception (2008)

Character mistake: McQuarry enters the subway at the 103rd Street station on the 1. He is transferring to the 2/3 at Chambers Street when Bose approaches him. However, it makes no sense to transfer here. As someone who knows New York, McQuarry would transfer to the 2/3 at 96th Street to benefit from the express ride to Chambers. (01:03:05)

Salt (2010)

Trivia: In the scene where Salt jumps off the subway, the dark and heavily guarded station is supposed to be the 51st Street Station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line in Manhattan, the nearest station to St. Bartholomew's Church. However, it is recognizable as an IND Station by the thick tiled columns, indented green-striped walls, and the wider train, and is in fact the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station in Brooklyn, with its signs covered by the number "51". State of Play (2009)

Factual error: When Robert Bingham is shooting at Cal, an MPD (Washington, DC) squad car shows up. However, the scene is set in Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia, outside of MPD's jurisdiction. Arlington County Police would have responded instead. (01:13:05)

State of Play (2009)

Factual error: The building where Della goes to find the pizza boy is not a hospital. It is the HUD building, which contains only government offices - no one could be hospitalized there. (00:41:50)

In Bruges (2008)

Factual error: Harry is supposed to have loaded his gun with expanding bullets before shooting Ray. Then the bullets are supposed to have gone through Ray, causing minimal damage, before blowing Jimmy the dwarf's head off. In reality, the bullets would have expanded upon impact with Ray, tearing up his torso and certainly killing him after the number of shots that he took. If any bullet fragments were to escape and hit Jimmy, they would not have caused the kind of damage depicted.

Shoot 'Em Up (2007)

Factual error: In the final standoff, Smith shoots Hertz by holding cartridges between his fingers in the fire. This is not remotely believable. The casings, weighing much less than the bullets, would have been blasted off while the bullets themselves would have gone nowhere. (01:15:15)

The Lookout (2007)

Factual error: In the movie, highway signs for Route 24 show the number inside a sunflower, which designates it as a Kansas state route. But in fact, the Route 24 that passes through the Kansas City Metro area, where the film takes place, is a U.S. route and would show the number inside a shield.

Continuity mistake: Rowena stabs Miles with her arm down, low in his stomach. When we see him on the floor, however, the knife is high in his ribcage. Not only is this inconsistent, but it would be impossible for the large knife to go into his breastbone where it is shown. (01:36:00)

The Bucket List (2007)

Factual error: When Cole and Carter are skydiving, there are a number of inaccuracies. First, Carter and his instructor jump well before Cole to put a safe distance between them. However, Cole and his instructor immediately catch up to Carter and then match their speed. This could be achieved by skilled jumpers, but not by instructor-novice pairs. Second, the men have a conversation while free-falling, which is completely impossible. Third, Carter pulls his own rip-cord (too early) and Cole's instructor yells at him to pull his own cord before it's too late. In reality, the instructor always carries the chute and pulls the cord for a first-time jumper, for exactly these reasons. (00:40:30)

Breach (2007)

Factual error: When Kate is going to meet Eric, she is shown exiting the Federal Triangle metro station on the Blue/Orange Lines. However, for no apparent reason the signage has been changed to read incorrectly "Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Station" which is actually on the Green/Yellow Lines. The blue and orange stripes on the station pylon have not been changed. (00:39:20)

Eagle Eye (2008)

Factual error: The tunnel in which the reaper attack takes place is supposed to be one of the tunnels under the Mall. This tunnel however, with two-way traffic and support pillars along the tunnel walls, is unlike any traffic tunnel in Washington DC.

Eagle Eye (2008)

Factual error: There is no possible way to cause a power line to drop from its support pylons and hit a person on target. These wires are fastened extremely securely, designed to withstand extremely high tension through all kinds of weather, and they are not equipped with some sort of explosive charges to release them.

Eagle Eye (2008)

Factual error: At the end of the film, the shots from the security cameras in McPherson Square and Farragut West stations are not of DC Metro stations or trains. Also, the traffic camera is labeled "I-5 South". Interstate 5 is located on the West Coast, not in the DC area. (01:48:25)

Factual error: An AED delivers an electric shock for a fraction of a second. It is not capable of producing a sustained current, as is depicted in the movie when Roger and Dr. P are being electrocuted.

Factual error: When Chris is running from the cabbie he jumps into a train, and in the process gets his scanner stuck in the door, which he loses hold of as the train begins to move. BART trains will not move unless all doors are secure, so this could not have happened. (00:30:00)
