Top Gun: Maverick (2022)

Revealing mistake: When Maverick is chasing the 5th Gen fighter in the canyon, it cuts to a shot above his left shoulder. You can see a Gold, Red, and White Flag patch reflected in the canopy. Neither Maverick nor Rooster are wearing flag patches during the mission.

Ode to My Father (2014)

The Client (1994)

Revealing mistake: When Barry goes running after Reggie during the boathouse scene, he tackles her and loses his gun when he does. A suppressed Walther PPK. He drops the gun on the ground which causes the suppressor to fall off it. In reality, this wouldn't happen as the suppressor is threaded onto the barrel of the pistol. A simple drop onto soft ground (grass and leafs in this case) wouldn't cause it to fall off.

Right after he says "I'm on my way" a few cuts happen then we see the right (or starboard in the Navy) of Maverick and Goose's F-14 along with the canopy. A camera can be seen in front of the copilot, onto of his instrument console.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Zero Dark Thirty mistake picture

Factual error: During the raid on Bin Laden's compound, Justin (Chris Pratt) ends up killing Abrar and his wife. During this scene, his rifle produces several large muzzle flashes. His rifle is fitted with a suppressor which would eliminate most or all muzzle flash produced by the rifle.

Ford v Ferrari (2019)

Factual error: Throughout the movie, Ken wears a pair of Ray Ban Balorama (4089) sunglasses. His pair however, has the Ray Ban logo on the temples; in the 1960s, Ray Ban sunglasses didn't feature the logo on the temples or lenses.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Revealing mistake: The SEALs assaulting Bin Laden's compound are using infrared lasers on their rifles, which can only be seen under night vision. The lasers being AN/PEQ-15s which the SEALs have attached to the top of their rifles. However, most if not all of the rifles have the laser beam coming from the bottom left of the hand guard, not from the top mounted laser unit. It's possible the/PEQ-15s were faux units and different lasers mounted to the rifles were used to give the effect.

Audio problem: When Fat Bastard bursts through Austin's apartment door, he pulls a revolver out of a box. When he does, the sound of the hammer cocking is heard, but he never cocks the hammer. It stays down for the entire scene.

Matdan97

Revealing mistake: When Fat Bastard smashes through the door of Austin's apartment (in 1999), the door doesn't have any holes drilled in the side for the latch. You can see this when a piece with the door knob falls to the floor. In addition, you can see on the right side of the door, a mark in the slab where it was cut for Fat Bastard (Mike Myers) to slam through it.

Matdan97

Revealing mistake: During the shootout at the German arms factory, one guard is firing an M1888 Mauser rifle at Holmes, Watson, etc. However, when he fires it, the bolt handle is up, but we still see a muzzle flash from the rifle. This would indicate the muzzle flash to be computer generated and not a blank from the rifle.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit mistake picture

Revealing mistake: When Eddie fires his "Toon" revolver at the whisky bottle, you can see what appears to be a white, plastic model in his hands. This obviously would've been used as a reference for the animation to be tracked onto later.

Matdan97

Visible crew/equipment: When Eddie is bouncing up and down on the pogo stick at the Acme Factory, two wires are visible around his left and right shoulders; just before he bounces up into the light fixture.

Other mistake: When Ricky is in the hospital, asleep in the bed, his heart rate stays at a constant "69" beats per minute. The number doesn't even spike when Cal tries to smother him with a pillow.

Matdan97

Other mistake: During the chase between Bo and Luke, and Jimmy and his father, Jimmy is shooting at them with a shotgun. He at one point hits the top corner of the driver door on the General Lee. , but he is shooting from the passenger side of his father's truck.

Matdan97

Continuity mistake: When McClane (Willis) approaches the dump truck in the aqua duct, the driver pulls an Uzi submachine gun onto his lap. The camera then cuts to McClane being seen in the door mirror of the truck, then cuts again to the cab being shot full of holes by McClane. The gun on the driver's lap changes to an MP5K (in this case, a Daisy MP5K Airsoft Replica).
