Just before John Sullivan had finished the script, he changed his mind and said he wanted to stay. The alternative ending was to see Del take up Jumbo's offer and go to Australia and then Rodney and Micky would trade together.

Revealing mistake: When Lister is in jail with the Cat, as he is looking out of the window, he is naming famous people. He says "Mussolini" before he actually looks at him. (00:10:55)
Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.
Suggested correction: First, Lister is shown looking out the window throughout the scene, and second, he still has an entire view of outside the window within his eyesight. Lister likely already seen Mussolini within his eyesight before turning to face his direction, which he likely did to assure himself it was definitely Mussolini.

Chosen answer: I used to have to use the local laundromat and I would use anywhere from four to six machines at once. When you have to leave your home to do laundry you tend to put it off as long as possible. She's also probably separating the different types - light, dark, delicates, etc.
