Spaceboy_007

Corrected entry: When Selene was painting on the wall of the prison, when she was a young child the painting was at her eye height. Now when she returns, the painting (although faded by time) is again at eye height but now she is an adult. The painting should be under the water, but would serve no purpose there since the audience could not see it.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: As an adult, the painting is well below Selene's eye level. Her shoulder is at sun-height (at the very least), which is well above either of the younger girls.

V for Vendetta (2005)

Corrected entry: When V is broadcasting his plans on the television everybody is watching in awe. There is a gentleman in the bar who is smoking a cigarette letting it hang from his mouth as he watches the screen. Next shot back to him he is still staring at the screen but his cigarette is twice as big as it was before. It is unlikely that he lit another one because everybody was glued to the screen and not even drinking their drinks.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: Watched for this mistake. That man is shown twice. The first time, he is casually watching the video, flicking the ash off his nearly finished cigarette into an ashtray. Next time he is shown (a fair while later) he has another cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Since he wasn't particulary engrossed the first time we saw him, and his cigarette was almost finished, it's fair to assume he very shortly thereafter lit up another one and sometime after that realized the gravity of what V was doing, forgetting all about the new cigarette in his mouth.

Wall-E (2008)

Corrected entry: When everybody was going to the central area where the plant was being deposited, they all had special helmets on, but when they were all there and fell out of their chairs nobody was wearing them - if they all took them off or they fell off there were none on the ground either.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: When they are falling off the chairs you can see that the helmets were connected to the chairs.

X-Men 3 (2006)

Corrected entry: In the second film Magneto escapes the entire prison with only the aid of 3 ball bearings. He could have easily ripped the cars apart and used them as bullets against the troops guarding Lech and hit them with 100% accuracy or even made the cars spin like tops and slam into the guards. All he did was throw cars in random directions and let Pyro light them and hope for the best. This goes beyond a character mistake, as Magneto's often been shown to make very good use of metal around him, whereas here he just doesn't bother so it benefits the plot.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: Still, it is his choice to use the cars as artillery shells rather than bullets. Maybe he just wanted to attract attention while his fellow mutants got to Leech, maybe he simply wanted a big, flashy and intimidating show for the humans watching. It is impossible to say for certain what a character's motives are, based on such circumstantial evidence as this.

The Pacifier (2005)

Corrected entry: The wife and military guy are at the bank trying to guess the password to gain access to the item the late husband left there. The troubling thing is that they could just sit there and try and try over and over again to guess at the password until they finally got it right. Talk about a huge security hole where somebody can just walk off the street wanting access to your bank account and keep guessing until they get the info right.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: The password was the idea of the husband's, not the banks. The bank person said "it was your husband's wishes." The bank person said that they did do checks on both of them, and it was OK.

James Storck

Corrected entry: They continue to show the effects of the radiation slowing the ageing of the planets' population and making the entire enterprise crew feel younger, and I believe there was a statement about old scars healing. Now that's fine enough but Geordi was born blind, as explained in one episode. He was not blinded in a accident or anything like that. Reverse ageing should have no effect on his eyes because he never had them in the first place so therefore nothing to regenerate.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: It is not simply reversing the ageing process: it is healing the body. It just happens that a person's prime physical condition comes in that 18-25 years old range. Geordi's optic nerves never reached his eyes and "healing the body" would fix that.

Face/Off (1997)

Corrected entry: There is no way that the doctors would cut Archer's hair and apply cream and laser treatment to match Castor's during the operation. There is completely no point in them doing that and it is something that could have been done after the operation. The only possible reason they would have done it was to be able to work in the "The face itches" joke.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: Whether or not it was done deliberately to work in the "joke", the fact remains that in reality such an extreme operation is non-existent in the first place. Whatever procedures were followed before, during and after this mythical operation is up to the filmmakers.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: Sam is found on the beach with nothing but a charm bracelet on her wrist and it shows no suitcase fall off the cliff with her. Later on in the movie she finds her old rifle hidden in her suitcase when she is at the hotel. How the heck did the rifle get there when it should be a standard suitcase. It's not her dreaming because she shoots the wall when she wakes up.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: The suitcase is picked up by Samuel Jackson from the old lady "Charly" used to rent from. She also pulls a postcard and a book from that suitcase while they are in the car, before they reach the hotel. Sam only took a bag with her and it went into the trunk.

Rlvlk

Corrected entry: When Jerry is in the hospital he gets Alice to switch the charts as he believes the government officials will try to kill him. The person who gets Jerry's chart has a suspicious heart attack in his sleep and dies. The next morning the government officials come back to detain Jerry. If they sent a man to kill Jerry why would they bother returning to arrest him if they expected he would be dead?

Spaceboy_007

Correction: 1) They could have been playing along to give themselves an alibi. If they send someone to talk to him, they can say they didn't know he was dead. 2) As soon as the hospital had identifed the deceased as NOT being Jerry, "they" realised the mistake and sent someone to detain Jerry.

The Terminator (1984)

Corrected entry: When Sarah is hiding under the desk at the police station she has NO idea that its not Reese doing all the shooting with the police. As far as she knows he is crazy and out to get her like Dr. Soberman and the police just described. When he smashes the glass and calls out to her she runs into his arms. Talk about a trusting lady/foolish lady.

Spaceboy_007

Correction: Reese has told Sarah that the Terminator is after her and that he's there to protect her. When the police station comes under attack, Sarah is probably pretty sure it's not Reese since he was in restraints the last she saw. Plus she knows the abuse the Terminator can take and dish out. When Reese escapes the handcuffs and finds Sarah, it is at this point that Sarah realizes that he is not crazy and that what he's told her it true.
