Corrected entry: Just before the scene in which Pippin complains about not having "second breakfast", the shot changes to show an overview of the forest they're in. Before the scene changes, look in the top right hand corner of the screen. The trees there appear to be forming a circle with a hole in the middle. Slow motion or pausing isn't necessary, but it makes it easier to spot.

Correction: The fact that the trees "seem to form a circle" is not valid movie trivia.

Elf (2003)

Corrected entry: As Buddy asks his dad to tuck him in, the pillow to his right (our left) seems to have a (small bit rough) 3-D face on it, caused by the lighting and the way the pillow is wrinkled/fluffed. This creepy "face" is there throughout the entire scene and doesn't move or change.

Correction: A wrinkled pillow that seems to take on a semi-recognizable shape is not valid movie trivia.

Smallville (2001)

Reckoning - S5-E12

Corrected entry: After Clark fails to prevent the death of Lana he is emotionally devastated and in a highly distraught state wanting only to be close to her as Jonathan pulls Clark away. Given Clark's emotional state and superior strength he would have been able to easily resist this action.

Correction: This simply means that he really did not want to resist. No mistake here.

Pariah - S4-E12

Corrected entry: In the begining of the episode pariah Lana is taking a shower. They show you she turned on the cold water, but when she's attacked, steam is practically running out of the shower and the mirror is fogged. Now, if she is taking a cold shower, how is this possible?

Correction: Some time has passed, and she could have turned on the hot water off camera.

Smallville (2001)

Hereafter - S3-E12

Corrected entry: Clark looks up an old newspaper article on the Internet, citing some of the information to Chloe. Subsequently, and to Clark's surprise, Chloe reveals some additional information she has dug up elsewhere. However, that very same information was also included in the newspaper article he was reading.

Correction: Where's the mistake? Clark begins reading it, and then Chloe reveals some information to him that he has not yet read in the article.

Shimmer - S1-E10

Corrected entry: Clark realizes that Amy stole Lex's watch when he sees her wearing it. He and Lex then search Amy's room with her mother and find the watch. Amy wears the watch as a token of her obsession and would not take it off lightly, even if she had returned home and left again. (00:31:45 - 00:32:50)

Phoenix

Correction: This is your opinion on a character decision. We do not know why she took it off, but she did.

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Corrected entry: At one point in the jungle one of the men calls Jeff Portnoy by his real name "Jack", instead of the character's name "Jeff".

Correction: Please be more specific. I have watched this movie several times and cannot spot this mistake.

Saw V (2008)

Corrected entry: In the first trap of the movie, Seth is in the pendulum trap. We find out that Hoffman put this trap together before he ever met John Kramer. However, on the tv, it is John Kramer's voice talking to Seth, describing the trap he is in. (Also, it is Kramer's puppet that is used in the video.).

Correction: If you listen closely, it is not Kramer's voice on the tape, it is definitely Hoffman's. As for the puppet, it would not have been difficult for Hoffman to obtain photos of the puppet from other Jigsaw cases, and construct his own.

Saw IV (2007)

Corrected entry: When the coroners are weighing Jigsaw's head, you can see the scale is at about 10 lbs. But when the assistant coroner takes the brain out of the scale, the scale doesn't reset itself back to 0.

Correction: Some morgues have scales that deliberately do not reset automatically, on the off chance that the M.E. forgets to record the weight before taking the object out of the scale. The scale displays the weight until it is reset manually.

Unbreakable (2000)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, after Willis realizes Jackson is actually a terrorist/psychopath, he looks around the room frantically and the audio sounds like he's gasping and breathing from his mouth, but his mouth is not open.

Correction: It's very easy to breathe hard and making gasping sounds without opening your mouth.

Wall-E (2008)

Corrected entry: At several points, Wall-E and Eve are speaking and making noises outside the Axiom. In reality, we shouldn't be able to hear anything.

Correction: This is a common moviemaking technique. We all know that there is no sound in space, yet we need to know what the characters are (trying) to communicate.

The Dark Knight (2008)

Corrected entry: During the scene in which Maroni's men meet with the Scarecrow, you see the black Suburban pull up. As it comes to a stop, you can see finger smudges on the driver's door that were a result of earlier takes. When he gets out, he puts his hand in exactly the same spot.

Correction: There are smudges on the paint near the handle of my truck as well, from being used all the time. In this case, the truck is used by grimy criminals, so the smudges make perfect sense.

Corrected entry: When Sam is about to drive his car for the first time, he asks his mother why she put the "girl jewelry" on the dog, as if he's never seen it before. But the blue collar was already on the dog - we can see it as he is giving Mojo his medication, so how can he be surprised that it is there?

Correction: He's not surprised that she put it there, just upset because it's embarassing.

Borat (2006)

Corrected entry: When Borat just arrived in California and was walking on the street while singing amen, he was wearing two pins on his jacket, but when he finished the fight with Azamat he had only the right pin on. (01:11:25 - 01:12:20)

Correction: This does not happen in consecutive shots, so either he removed one of them or one of them fell off.

Mamma Mia! (2008)

Corrected entry: Based on cast lists from the Internet Broadway Database and the Internet Movie Database, not a single cast member from any Broadway production of "Mamma Mia!" appears in the movie.

Correction: This is far too general and common to be valid trivia. There are tons of movie musicals that do not contain anyone from the original broadway cast.

Chocolat (2000)

Corrected entry: The movie starts with a service, covering all the habits of the village people and stressing their conformity. Why then does the lady wake up her husband, who sits sleeping through a song while everyone else is standing, only when the song is over? (00:02:35)

NancyFelix

Correction: Just because people are expected to conform, does not mean that they always do so. She is prodding him to wake him up before the mayor notices.

Doctor Who (2005)

Boom Town - S1-E11

Corrected entry: When the Doctor asks Jack about the extrapolator, Jack replies, "It's not compatible, but it should knock off about 12 hours". How can it knock off 12 hours if it's not compatible?

Correction: Meaning it will work, just not as well as it would if it were compatible.

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

Corrected entry: Murtaugh and Riggs are partners since the first movie, they've been working cases together, drive together, Riggs has extra clothes at Murtaugh's house and yet Riggs had no idea that Murtaugh was having construction done, asking if it was an oxygen tent. Murtaugh is showing Riggs the garage and hobby room as if he'd never discussed it with him before. And it's not as if they just broke ground, the job is halfway complete, with the frame up and all. Obviously the dialogue was done for the viewer, not for the characters.

Correction: If it's obvious that this exposition was done for the viewers, then it's not a mistake. It's an accepted film making technique.

wizard_of_gore

Corrected entry: When Ben is trying to find the 4 digit code for the Resolute desk in Buckingham Palace, the first code he tries doesn't work. When he tries a different second code, and the first two numbers are the same (1 and 8), yet Ben opens the draws again as if they have not been moved.

Correction: He had to close them to reset the mechanism, just like you have to do with any combination lock.
