Continuity mistake: When Irene and Adam are in the kitchen, Irene starts licking one of the hand-mixer beaters. She's holding it in her right hand, but when it cuts to another angle she's licking the beater in her left hand and her right hand is extended, handing Adam the first beater.

Other mistake: When George is in the basement, his son starts walking down the stairs. Suddenly a light bulb shatters right next to the boy's head, he screams, and falls violently down the stairs. But when it cuts to George coming over, he's just walking at a normal pace as though nothing happened. (This is just after they move in, before the evil spirits take hold of George, so there's no reason for him not to be alarmed.).

Audio problem: During the thunderstorm at the end, the thunder comes every couple of seconds, it doesn't correspond to the lightning at all, and it sounds exactly the same every time.

Continuity mistake: When the dog is pulling George out of the black muck at the end, he's pulling on a piece of George's shirt. But when it cuts to another angle, the dog turns to run away and the piece of shirt is suddenly gone.

Continuity mistake: When Adam and Zach are in the house with the cops and one of them has Zach up against the wall in handcuffs, the other red-haired cop comes through the door holding a long box. In one shot there's a piece of yellow tape on the end of the box, and a bar code sticker on the side. But in the next shot, the tape is orange and the bar code sticker has moved to the end of the box.

Trivia: In one scene, Laura is standing on the beach in a short dress. It was really cold that day and Julia Roberts (Laura) was freezing, so the film crew dropped their pants for that shot so she wouldn't be uncomfortable alone.

Continuity mistake: When Ronna is leaving the grocery store in the beginning she picks up her jacket with her right hand, but when it cuts to the reverse shot it's suddenly in her left hand.

Continuity mistake: Simon is talking to two bridesmaids in the elevator, and the short-haired girl's left hand goes from being up to down and back again in almost every shot.

Continuity mistake: When Ronna first gets to Todd's apartment, she sits down and he puts an unlit cigarette in his mouth. But when it cuts to another angle he's suddenly just finished lighting it.

Continuity mistake: When Simon and Marcus are fleeing in the red car after the shooting, Marcus has his right arm up on the seat back. In one shot he starts to put it down, then in the next shot it's up again. Then it just starts to come down yet again, and suddenly in the next shot it's completely down.

Continuity mistake: When Todd is looking at the phony pills that Ronna brought back to him there are two shots, in between which a bunch of things change. The Santa hat on the back of the sofa moves and switches the direction it's laying, the pill bottle on the table goes from standing up to laying on its side, a jacket suddenly appears on the arm of the sofa, and various smaller things on the table appear and disappear.

Continuity mistake: When Ariel and Eric are in the boat together before their attempt to kiss, Ariel's hair is down. But in their shadows on the water, her hair is in a ponytail.

Question: Maybe I missed a major plot point, but why exactly does Tom kill his lover at the very end?

Audio problem: When the T-Rex is looking at the kids in the Explorer and suddenly makes her screaming sound, the kids jump and put their hands over their ears. But if you watch Tim, he doesn't make any reaction to the noise for about two seconds, then jumps like it just started. (01:02:50)

Continuity mistake: At the end when the court bows to Danielle, in the wide shot you can see Jacqueline curtsying. But when it cuts to the closeup of Marguerite who's standing next to her, you see Jacqueline drop down into her curtsy again. (01:52:30)

Continuity mistake: When the T-Rex first breaks out of her paddock, she walks between the two Explorers which look to be only a short distance apart- maybe one or two T-Rex-steps between them. But later when the T-Rex is by Grant's Explorer and walks to the one with the kids in it (when Grant is saying "Turn the light off") she has to take about five steps to get there. (01:01:25)
