Hostel: Part III (2011)

Revealing mistake: When Carter puts the dead guy in front of the thing that blows your tires, right before he runs over him, the dead guy blinks his eyes.

Suggested correction: The blinking is too obvious to be a mistake by the actor, the scene is supposed to show that the man was still alive after being stabbed, as a final bit of suffering. Terribly unrealistic in real life, but not for this franchise.

The X-Files (1993)

Two Fathers (1) - S6-E11

Plot hole: Agent Spender watches in horror as Alex Krycek stabs the neck of an alien directly in front of him and the usual bubbling green blood spills out. In every other instance of a human being in such close proximity to the green blood, the person has immediately taken a painful reaction to the substance, including severe damage to the eyes. Spender however is completely unaffected, as is Krycek, who was also close enough to feel the effects.

Suggested correction: The Syndicate is well aware of the effects that the alien blood has on humans and the inherent risk of being exposed to it. They would have inoculated Spender and Krycek in preparation for this.

Phaneron

There was no inoculation ever mentioned to counter the effect of the acidic blood. Also, Spender wouldn't have let someone randomly inject him with something with no explanation, it would be completely out of character, and he was surprised at what happened.

Suggested correction: I think that this is to do with where he is hit. I don't recall anyone suffering the toxic effects when the weak spot at the back of the neck is successfully hit with the spike weapon. When Mulder tried to kill the alien bounty hunter (think it was in Colony?) He missed the weak spot, which is why the blood had an effect on him and the bounty hunter survived.

iZombie (2015)

Eat, Pray, Liv - S3-E3

Plot hole: When Katty is first discussing the dead girl from the plane crash who had brains in her stomach, she says the girl's flesh indicated she died months before she ever got on the plane. But then later in the episode, Katty says the plane crash girl was at the boat party (massacre) the day before she got on the plane. Everyone at the boat party was alive before dying and turning into a zombie, so the girl's flesh would not indicate she was dead for months since she only died the day before.

Suggested correction: Not everyone at the boat party was "alive", there were some zombies there as well, Blaine included, it is entirely possible that she was a zombie before the boat party happened.

ctown28

Which episode(s) mention Blaine and others were zombies before the boat party massacre? Everything in the show makes it seem like it was the combination of tainted Utopium and Max Ranger energy drink that night which caused the zombie outbreak, including Blaine's transformation. And the Fillmore-Graves outbreak was a separate incident that Blaine wasn't a part of.

Bishop73

Yeah, the boat party was ground zero for the outbreak, Blaine and everyone else was human when they got on the boat. Nothing suggests otherwise.

When get turned in to a zombie your flesh is dying so her flesh could be dead.

The X-Files (1993)

Correction: CSM's writing means a great deal to him, and while he must certainly be aware that he has the power to have his stories published, it's highly likely that like many creatives, he simply wants them to be wanted on their own merit.

The X-Files (1993)

Correction: Cyrillic bears similarities to Greek, Slavic, Russian, and some Middle-Eastern lettering. Considering the tattoo was on the decomposing skin of a body that had been submerged in water, it's reasonable to assume it would be difficult for anyone to recognise. Also, nothing is ever mentioned about Scully's education to suggest she should have any particular knowledge about multi-cultural writing styles, the most we know is that she had a decent grasp of German.

Purple_Girl

I agree with the original post. It is inconceivable that someone with Scully's education wouldn't recognise Cyrillic (which is the script in which Russian is written, incidentally, and looks nothing like any Middle-Eastern alphabet, although it is certainly similar to Greek). Any good general education would give you that knowledge.

Lost (2004)

Homecoming - S1-E15

Corrected entry: Lucy says that the stolen cigarette case was pulled out of Charlie's pocket by the "EMTs". But Lucy is British, and paramedics are not known as EMTs in Britain.

Correction: Yes they are. I come from Scotland, and a friend of mine worked as an EMT doing ambulance runs, which was his job title and what he was referred to.

Corrected entry: When Owen sneaks into Margaret's bedroom he is barefoot. When the gardener enters, and he hides behind the couch, he is wearing shoes.

Correction: At no point in Margaret's home are Owen's feet visible before he dives behind the couch, thus making it impossible to say that he was barefoot when he entered.

The X-Files (1993)

Correction: The Smoking Man, who put the embryo in the pentagon's vast storage room in season 1, has direct access to the pentagon at all times and is extremely high up in the ranks of the conspirators, it's more than plausible that he could have taken the embryo back from storage and returned it to the freezing containment if it was needed for further tissue/testing.

American Psycho (2000)

Corrected entry: In Bateman's office when the detective is first questioning him, there is a big white phone on the window ledge behind Bateman. In the next shot the phone has disappeared.

Correction: The phone doesn't disappear, the angle at which we could see it changes. The first shot of the phone is from higher up, we see it sitting in front of Patrick's briefcase. The shots of him thereafter are more directly-on and the briefcase is just hidden by the corner of his chair, thus so is the phone. At a couple of angles, you can actually see the phone reflected slightly on the shiny briefcase and we see it fully again at a later angle. It's never gone from the scene, just less visible.
