Will

Corrected entry: When Ben sets fire to the first zombie he has killed, notice how quickly and easily it burns without any accelerant having been used, also notice that whatever it is that Ben sets fire to, it looks nothing like a dead body.

Will

Correction: As for the first zombie Ben sets on fire, later in the movie we hear Chief McClellan tell the reporter, "Beat 'em or burn 'em. They go up pretty easy." Therefore the first zombie would not be an exception and flare up easily.

DrLoomis1978

Corrected entry: When Indy is fighting with the Thuggee guard, the Thuggee picks Indy up and is about to throw him into one of the mining trucks, you see Willie and Short Round hiding behind a pillar. When she says to Short Round "okay save him" you can see she is wearing a piece of jewellery on her forehead. About a minute later as she says her next line "what's the matter with him?" the piece of jewellery has gone. (01:29:15)

Will

Correction: After Willie tells Short Round to save Indy there are eight shots while she's offscreen, which gives Willie plenty of time to remove the head chain and toss it, much the same way Willie removes and tosses her skirt when she climbs into the mine cart.

Thunderball (1965)

Corrected entry: In the scene where James Bond is being briefed with the other double-0 agents, just after they have opened their top secret folders, the agent who is sitting next to 007 (the one with the beard) bears an uncanny likeness to Ringo Starr.

Will

Correction: I don't see how an actor who looks like someone else (and isn't) counts as trivia. Many people look similar to others.

Psycho (1960)

Corrected entry: At the end of the film in the Sheriff's office, you can see a wall calendar with the date on 17. The film started on December 11th - Marion absconds with the money on the same day. She slept the first night in her car, then drove all day Saturday before arriving later that night at Bates motel, she was killed the same night. When Arbogast arrives we learn that Marion has been missing for one week, it is now Saturday, Sam and Lila visit the motel to look for Arbogast, (who by now is dead) and they go to visit Sheriff Chambers later that same evening. They meet the Sheriff the following Sunday morning outside the church, it is on the same day that Norman is captured and taken into custody, now the date on the wall calendar should have shown 20 and not 17, the story has lasted for a total of nine days and not six days.

Will

Correction: All this is true, but it can easily be explained by someone in the sheriff's office forgetting to change the calendar. Character mistake, not movie mistake.

Thunderball (1965)

Corrected entry: When Fiona Volpe is shot in the back while dancing with Bond, you can see his hand covering the entry wound with blood seeping through his fingers. Since he was facing her at the moment that she was shot, and could not have seen her back, how does he know exactly where the wound is so that he can cover it with his hand?

Will

Correction: He felt the wetness of her blood.

Corrected entry: When Ben is moving the body at the top of the stairs, notice how the position of the body changes between shots, from when he leans over the body, to when he actually starts to move the body.

Will

Correction: The body at the top of the stairs doesn't change position by itself. First, right after propping his rifle against the wall, Ben moves the corpse's legs. This shot is immediately followed by a jump cut where Ben is now shown holding the edges of the rug upon which the corpse is laying. Ben has basically repositioned the body on the rug so that he can more easily drag it down the hallway.

Corrected entry: Near the end of the film in the scene where the girl is stabbing Mrs Cooper (her mother) you can see blood on the wall, but this blood looks as if it has been painted onto the wall (it is too neat and too straight) and is not consistant with how blood splashed onto a wall should look.

Will

Correction: The blood on the wall isn't a splatter or spray, it's a thick splotch of gore flung from the trowel blade that has hit the nearby wall intact and then begins oozing toward the floor. It's also not entirely apparent due to the wall being white, but the blood stain is being viewed at an angle (note the angled line in the lower left side of the frame where the wall meets the basement floor).

Duel (1971)

Corrected entry: During the finale, the red car hits the front of the truck head on and bursts into flames, but as we see the next shot of the car, it is now facing sideways as the truck pushes it over the cliff.

Will

Correction: With no one to steer the car, it's more than likely going to veer or be pushed sideways during the collision. It's not unusual to turn sideways in a collision.

The Wicker Man (1973)

Corrected entry: During the scene in the Green man when the locals are singing "The landlord's daughter" Willow takes a key off the wall and goes through a door and is seen leaving the bar, the next shot cuts in and she is back in the bar singing along and is standing next to the man playing the accordion.

Will

Correction: Her father says "Show him to his room, would you?" She takes the key, and steps through the door. The cop doesn't follow because they start singing, so it's only natural she'd turn around. She's shown standing in the doorway.

The Wicker Man (1973)

Corrected entry: When Sgt Howie follows Miss Rose out of the classroom, he is holding his hat under his right arm, but when they get outside, Howie is holding his hat with both hands.

Will

Correction: When he walks out, he's holding it in both hands. He continues holding it in both hands, then puts it under his right arm. A bunch of people pass, and he winds up holding it in both hands again. Nothing unnatural here.

Corrected entry: As Indy gets onto the plane and we see Toth for the first time, Indy sits down with his trilby hat resting level on his head and his collar and tie fastened, but in the next shot the hat is at an angle, and the collar and tie are unfastened. (00:22:35)

Will

Correction: It's a fedora, not a trilby. If you watch, you see Harrison raise his hand to his collar to undo the button and tie. that's how they get like that. And as for the angle of the hat, it's because he has leant back into the seat. I have a fedora, and if I look up, even just slightly, before sitting back against a tall chair, like in a car or plane, it tips itself up.

Corrected entry: How was it possible for Klaatu, posing as Mr Carpenter to take a room in a guest house without paying any money as a deposit? Surely it is the norm to pay in advance before being given a room?

Will

Correction: It's a guest house, similar to a bed-and-breakfast. They have weekly and daily rates, but I've never heard of one charging a deposit.

Corrected entry: When Mrs Cooper first comes up from the cellar, Tom says to her (referring to Barbara) "Her brother was killed". How does Tom know this? There was no direct reference to this either from Barbara or anyone else in the house. Ben did say to Barbara earlier in the film that her brother was dead, but that was well before the people in the cellar first appeared in the film.

Will

Correction: This happens after Tom had been upstairs for some time and the film was following the Coopers in the basement. Ben could have told Tom about it at any time during that interval.

Psycho (1960)

Correction: Norman only goes back to get the umbrella so that he can hold it over Marion. By the time he gets to her, she's already under the porch's overhang, so it's useless. Hence, his later joke about his 'trusty umbrella'.

Duel (1971)

Corrected entry: When the truck is turning round to give the school bus a push, you can see the children and the bus driver outside of the bus, but seconds later, the children and the driver are on board the bus when it is being pushed by the truck.

Will

Correction: As the truck is turning around, the children are lined up and the driver is motioning for them to get back on the bus. It's just a little hard to see since the dust clouds.

Toolio

Correction: Not really - anyone with the right eye could have worked out her size, maybe even tailored it accordingly.

Alien (1979)

Corrected entry: Why is Lambert the only crew member who managed to get covered in blood? There was even blood on the wall in the background, all the other members were in close around the table and yet their clothes were clean, Parker was even holding on to Kane's arm when the Alien burst out of Kane and yet he also managed to stay clean.

Will

Correction: It's a directional blood spurt that happens to fly in Lambert's direction as the Alien forces its way out. Only the wall behind her gets covered in blood, all the other walls are clean. After the spurt, Ash steps in front of Lambert, so the wall behind him is bloody as well, but it's the same wall.

Thunderball (1965)

Corrected entry: When Angelo gets into the pilot seat of the Vulcan there is a member of the crew eating a sandwich. At the moment when Angelo uses the poisonous gas to kill the crew, surely the man eating the sandwich would still be eating it, and would not have had sufficient time to put his oxygen mask back on.

Will

Correction: His mask was still half-on, sort of hanging to the side. The alarm went off for several seconds, plus they might have felt the cabin depressurization so they put on their masks which takes almost no time at all.

Thunderball (1965)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, how was it possible for Bond to get to the chateau before the black car, despite leaving the church a minute or two later, then get into the chateau, leave his his jetpack on a balcony outside, then get back into the room before the woman in black enters the room without being seen by anyone?

Will

Correction: It is possible if Bond used the jetpack to fly from the church to the chateau, landed on the balcony of the chateau and left the jetpack on the balcony. This would give him plenty of time to enter the room prior to the "woman".

Thunderball (1965)

Corrected entry: If it was necessary for the vulcan crew to wear oxygen masks, why does the crew member eating the sandwich not have to wear one at the same time?

Will

Correction: The Vulcan's cabin was pressurized, so they had an oxygen supply. However, the masks also contain their radio apparatus I believe. It is also standard procedure for the pilots and I guess anyone not taking a break to keep it on. He depressurized the cabin and put the gamma gas in the primary air system. The alarm that went off told them to put on their masks.
