Corrected entry: During the previous episode, we find out that Dr. Bashir has been replaced by a changeling. But for the changeling's ruse to work, he would need to carry out all Bashir's duties. Which means he'd need all his medical knowledge. Bashir graduated second in his class at Starfleet Medical Academy. To learn all that Bashir knew would have taken longer than the Dominion and Federation knew about each other. Not only that, but to pull off all this changeling pulled off, he'd need intimate knowledge of Starfleet, Bajoran and Cardassian technologies. There's no way a changeling could have learned all that knowledge in the time alotted. Even if you use the excuse of the Great Link, the Founders would still need the time to amass the knowledge and at least one of them to learn all the medical techniques Bashir would have known to transfer that knowledge to the others, otherwise it would have been a dead giveaway Bashir wasn't really Bashir.

Corrected entry: Right after the second engine goes down on the shield Helicarrier, the altitude reading on Iron Man's HUD shows just over 15,000 feet for the altitude. A short time later, even though the helicarrier has been falling since the engine went down, the altitude on the helicarrier's bridge shows the helicarrier falling through 18,000 feet.
Correction: 2 independent systems showing different values for altitude is not a continuity mistake, it merely shows that the systems are not calibrated for the same ground level or, more likely, that both systems don't operate under the same physical conditions. E.g. Helicarrier in "normal" air vs Iron Man inside an engine that produces heat and pressure changes while moving, thereby falsifying his readings.
Suggesting Iron Man's suit is giving falsified readings because of pressure and heat is ridiculous. Iron Man's suit is controlled by an advanced AI, you really think it wouldn't notice strange readings?
Just because you notice a strange reading does not mean that you can correct it on the fly. Or, as suggested, Iron Man has simply calibrated his altimeter for a wrong/virtual ground level as a signal for him to get out of there in case his plan fails. The main point of my suggested correction is that the Helicarrier and the suit are two independent systems that do not necessarily need to show the same values and the views of Suit's HUD in them self are consistent insofar as that the altitude drops from 15000+ to 13000+.
You're right. 2 independent altitude meters can give separate altitudes. The correction is solid.

Corrected entry: Quigley is an extreme long range rifle shooter. Why take on all Marston's thugs when he could easily take out Marston from long range? He proved he could take out Marston from extreme long range when he shot the two thugs next to Marston.
Correction: Many reasons are possible. Quigley may have wanted to be sure it was actually Marsten and not (as we see in the film) one of his henchmen wearing his clothes.

Corrected entry: Apparently when it came to taking the ship into the asteroid, the entire bridge crew conveniently forgot that Galaxy class federation starships can separate. The obviously prudent course of action would be to separate the ship and send the star drive section (the narrower section) into the asteroid while the saucer section (the wider section) stood guard outside. The only reason this wasn't done was to provide drama for the rest of the episode when the Romulans collapsed the entrance to the chasm.
Correction: This is purely speculation. They may have needed the equipment, sensors, and weapons of the entire ship.

Corrected entry: Instead of blowing up an entire mountaintop communication facility, why didn't the military just destroy the Landsat 7 satellite? Either command it to self-destruct by burning up on an atmospheric re-entry or destroy it with anti-satellite weapons that already exist. Or just simply command the satellite to power-down.
Correction: With the dome in place, no one on the outside knew what the aliens were doing. The only way to stop them was to destroy the transmitters.
At around 1 hour 13 min into the movie, the pentagon is literally talking about the possibility of the aliens wanting to use Landsat7 to communicate with their home world. So they did know that the aliens were probably going to do that. Even if they weren't completely sure about it, they could've just destroyed it as a precaution. They could've launched a missile at it or put another satellite on a collision course.

Corrected entry: When Dodge looks through the periscope it shows a plane heading towards the "periscope" and the shot follows the plane. There's no way a periscope could get that kind of shot. The periscope is made to look at the surface of the water, not follow aircraft.
Correction: Submarine periscopes can elevate to look at planes and helicopters. In fact it's practice to look for any when at periscope depth.

Corrected entry: Even if Martel had crossed the picket line, why would Falco not dress for the last game? They would still need a backup quarterback and it's obvious that Falco would be the 1st backup since he'd been playing the entire time the strike was on. The writers had him go home so he could make a grand entrance at halftime. And it wouldn't matter that he was a "non-union" player because ONLY Martel crossed the picket line. Not the rest of the team. If the "non-union" correction was correct, then ALL the replacement players would have had to leave.
Correction: It has nothing to do with him being a non-union player; it amounts entirely to a character decision. Falco was very depressed that he had been replaced, and too ashamed to face the rest of the team, so he didn't show up for the game. Then he returned at halftime, because he realized the team needed him to be there.

Star Trek: Voyager (1995)
Corrected entry: At the beginning of the episode, the "Friendship 1" probe does a flyby. On it, you see Federation and Starfleet markings. During the briefing after the credits, Tuvok states that the probe was launched 4 years after Zephram Cochrane's first warp flight. Cochrane's warp flight was in 2063 and the probe was launched in 2067 The United Federation of Planets didn't exist until 2161, and even though there was techinically a Starfleet, it's well known that it didn't adopt the "arrowhead" (aka "Delta) style symbol until the 2240's.
Correction: Fan speculation and trivia generated in other media (novels, comics, blueprints, guides, etc) cannot be used to gauge a mistake. Mistakes only count if they contradict what was established in a previous film or television episode. And the date of origin of the arrowhead insignia has never been stated in any.

Corrected entry: It's a given that the Enterprise had the ability to use phasers to fire at the aceton collectors, but since they run on energy, why didn't they use photon torpedoes to destroy the collectors? They don't rely on regular energy, but explosive force to do their destructive capabilities. Even those collectors wouldn't be able to withstand a matter/anti-matter explosion of a photon torpedo without any type of shielding.
Correction: A matter/anti-matter explosion still releases energy that other collectors would use. Matter/anti-matter explosions is how they power the ship, by harnessing the power from the explosion.

Corrected entry: When Matrix leaves the plane to paddle ashore, he's heading directly to the shore. But when we see him actually padding to the shore itself from a side view of the raft, you can see the seaplane directly behind the raft. Considering the direction Matrix left from the plane, the plane should have been off to the left of the shot, off camera, Not in the background of the shot.
Correction: Currents can easily account for the difference in the shots. Either the plane is not as well anchored as it could be, or the raft is drifting with the current.

Corrected entry: Japanese SIS identifies the island that the Ning-Po stops at is called "Matsu" and is in the direct route between Kobe and Shanghai. The actual island of Matsu is just off the coast of CHINA, northwest of the island of Taiwan. Now, even assuming that it's the actual island in the movie, Bond takes Little Nellie and says he wants to take a quick look over the island. There's no way Little Nellie makes it that far on it's on-board fuel.
Correction: The key phrase is "assuming it's the actual island." There's nothing to confirm it is the actual island.
Correction: Re the corrected entry. This is not entirely accurate. Tiger says they have identified the island, 'we have identified the coastline in the photograph, it is an island called Matsuo and lies on the direct route between Kobe and Shanghai' And while he can't confirm that the Ning-Po has stopped there Bond says 'I want to take a fast look at the island now ' So indeed the plan is to look at Matsu.

Corrected entry: Q isn't a field agent, so why would they send him over to keep surveillance on Bond while he's in Octopussy's island mansion?
Correction: This is a question, not a mistake. Q was already there to give Bond his equipment. This was a low-risk assignment keeping watch on Bond from across the lake (even though it did prove fatal to Vijay). It is never specified in the series if Q is or is not trained as a field agent, but he does relish the opportunity to get out in the field on several occasions.

Corrected entry: Why does Picard give up on destroying the ship when the auto-destruct fails? All they would need to do is drop the magnetic containment seals on the anti-matter pods manually. Then boom, instant warp core breach. Or take a phaser to the warp core. There's gotta be at least 20 ways to blow up the ship without the auto-destruct sequence. The auto-destruct is meant to be able to detonate the warp core without human intervention, giving the crew time to escape. The Captain could have sent the crew to the escape pods and blown the ship up manually.
Correction: This entry simply lists what "could" or "should" have been done, which are not valid mistakes.

Corrected entry: Having the entire senior bridge crew of the Federation flagship beam over into an unknown situation on a Romulan warship seems like an unfathomably stupid thing to do. It's supposed to be Starfleet regulation that a Starfleet captain not beam into an unknown and possibly hostile situation without an armed escort. Captain's aren't even supposed to go on away missions. Even though this was a diplomatic mission, the obvious thing would have been for Commander Riker to remain on board the Enterprise in command in case something happened to the away team. What if the away team was taken captive or killed? The only senior officer left on board was Lt. Commander LaForge.
Correction: This is one of the most important missions that Picard has ever been on. He wants his trusted staff members with him, he does not need to follow regulations to the letter. Besides, the Romulans made the peace overture, it would be very counterproductive for them to attempt something malicious.

Corrected entry: Why didn't Wai Lin and Bond place the mines on the outside of the ship near the waterline? It would have been much easier to place the mines without being detected and it would have made the ship visible on radar.
Correction: It would have been easier for the crew to spot them on the outside of the ship. Also it would be more difficult for Bond and Wai Lin to get the mines on both pontoons if they were placing them on the outside of the ship - they would have had to place them on one pontoon, then drive the raft around the outside to the other pontoon. They way they did it Bond places them on one side and Wai Lin climbs over to the other side - much easier.

Corrected entry: Why would MI6 send Q out to make contact with Bond at the monastery? Q is the head of Q-Branch, MI6's equipment research and development division. They would never send someone so valuable out into the field to make contact with Bond when a lower lever messenger would do.
Correction: Unless he was already in the area; we don't know what Q was doing immediately before the meeting. This was an extremely low risk contact, there wasn't any danger to Q, and they did require someone with top secret clearance - a 'lower level messenger' would not have the clearance level necessary.

Corrected entry: When the plane carrying Bond and Pussy Galore to the White House goes down, it crashes into the ocean. But the plane was going from Fort Knox, Kentucky to Washington D.C. The plane wouldn't have passed over the Atlantic Ocean or any of the Great Lakes en route to Washington D.C.
Correction: The plane has been hijacked by Goldfinger, who intends to take it to Cuba, a journey which obviously involves crossing some water.
