The Big Green (1995)

Continuity mistake: Just after Juan shows off his football skills for the first time, he turns to leave and the kids, lead by the blonde boy, crowd round Juan to stop him leaving. The positions of at least two of the group changes between shots. In the initial shot the blonde boy has nobody standing on his right yet in the very next shot he is further in the middle of the group and now has two girls to his right.

Continuity mistake: When the girl is looking up the fire engine in the oversized book, the little blonde boy in the red T-Shirt on the stool next to her changes the position of his head and hands between shots as she brings the book to the desk.

Night Out in London - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Jay first shouts "Bus Wankers" from Simon's car, the people at the bus stop change between shots, as does the weather. On the first viewing of the stop as we approach it, there are five people around it and it is sunny. On the shot going past the stop there are now six people at the stop. Also the weather in the second shot is now overcast and sunless. Also in the next shot of the boys laughing to Jay's outburst, there is no sign of the bus stop they've just past but in the car's interior shots you can see the Bus Stop road markings through the rear window.

The Simpsons (1989)

King-Size Homer - S7-E7

Continuity mistake: When Homer says he's going to the cinema, we see his drinking bird working in front of the computer. It makes a key press on the lower right of the keyboard, however on the following close up shot of the bird pressing the Y key it is a standard qwerty keyboard layout.

General questions

There was a film, I can't remember what it was called but it's most likely from the 1970s but may have been a B-Movie or a TV movie. It featured a bomb on an airplane that would explode if the plane's altitude dropped below a certain level, but they only find out about it once they're in the air above that level. When the fuel in the airplane runs low the pilot eventually works out that he can (and does) land at an airport that is above that altitude and the bomb turns out to be in his briefcase that he's had all along in the cabin.

Robot Overlords (2014)

Visible crew/equipment: Not long after the main youth characters enter the mine, another boy (the same one they chased through the woods) is followed by the camera from behind as he walks on the tracks holding a torch. The shadow of the camera can be seen just before the shot pans off to the right.

Daddy Day Care (2003)

Continuity mistake: After the day care centre opens, Phil is playing/singing Rhinestone Cowboy on the guitar. The girl in the polka-dot dress and the boy in the red "1985" T-shirt change positions between shots. She is behind him in the front shot, and in front of him in the rear shot.

Factual error: Just after Spud gets suspended from school, his mum is looking through a property catalogue of London homes. All the telephone numbers shown start with 020 7. The film is set in 1991, and inner London telephone numbers at that time started with 071, not changing to 020 7 until June 1999.

Waldorf Salad - S2-E3

Question: What was Basil referring to with his response of "I'm sorry it wasn't wide enough for you - a lot of the English cars have steering wheels" to Mr Hamilton's remarks about the M5 motorway?

Neil Jones

Chosen answer: Mr Hamilton referred to the M5 as a "little backstreet". In response Basil sarcastically apologises for it being narrow, despite being a multi-lane motorway, and makes a comment about cars in the UK having steering wheels because American roads are often built straight.

Robot Overlords (2014)

Continuity mistake: When the kids are looking at the Stonehenge-type structures, the younger boy calls for everybody to come and see the hidden message. From the shot in front of the boy you can tell from his body position he's sitting up, however in the next shot from overhead, the boy is now lying down on the rock.

Vacation (2015)

Continuity mistake: When the car blows up after the dad stabs buttons on the key-fob, the younger boy is standing at the edge of the road and on his mother's left. In the very next shot from in front of the family, the younger boy is now suddenly off the road and on his brother's right. Also the shadows of the family varies in the same two shots, from long in the rear shot to short in the front shot.

Cop Car (2015)

Continuity mistake: Towards the back end of the film, the lady arrives in her car, parks it at the side of the road and she is shot a few minutes later. Her car is seen at the edge of the road behind the sheriff's car when the boy runs down the road after breaking out, but her car has vanished when he drives the cop car away 30 seconds later. Also in the same scene of driving away, the sheriff's car has moved well off the road too.
