Question: I watched this movie years ago so I can't remember all the details, but I believe it took place in the 1800s based upon their clothing. It was about sisters and they had to go multiple funerals which may have been for some of the sisters that died, and when people died that had to wear black for a year.
Question: For about 30 years I've been trying to find out the title of a black and white movie from the 30s - 50s. I fancy it might have starred someone like Jimmy Stewart. It was about a husband (and father) from a well-off community who. I think, gets hit by a train and suffers amnesia. At the end of the film, he inadvertently comes across his old house at around Christmas time, and looks through the window, but is promptly sent on his way, unrecognised by his own family.
Question: I watched this movie probably late 90s. I was about 8-10 years old when I saw it so the only thing I remember was two boys perhaps camping in their backyard. The boy had a sister whose friend was also sleeping over. The boy's friend was infatuated with the sister's friend, and in the morning the sister's friend was found murdered, either suffocated or strangled. I remember they were in some shed playing strip poker, then everyone went inside - the girl who is the boys sister's friend wants to stay out and sleep there, and then the next morning she was dead.Gemxx12
Question: I have been looking for a Asian fantasy movie (not anime) from the 1990s (I think) its about a vampire/monster (girl with long black hair and who is able to use her fingernails as lasers) and a cop. They fall in love, kinda like Romeo and Juliet but fantasy, there is a lot of rain in the film and cheesy music. There are scenes where the normal people (police squad) are able to summon their powers to fight the monsters and do this in a group in one scene, like some kind of mental power. There is a scene at the end when the lead vampire/monster is riding on a plane trying to crash it into a building. Its name could be something like, Monster Love Story, Police Squad, Police Love Story...I can't remember and I would so love to find this movie. It could be Korean, Japanese but it has English subtitles.Ben Freeth
Question: Can you please tell me the name of an older (80's) movie that was on TV about 2 sisters who lived in a small town. They were poor, and in the end, the older sister married for money, to a short, rich, nerdy hardware store owner who adored her. Near the final scene, she was standing on a bridge saying good bye to her rebellious younger sister. The older sister was tall and had long blonde hair, wore a leather suede fur lined coat, and drove a white SUV. The younger sister had (earlier) had a fight with her boyfriend or husband then got back together with him. He was a poor alcoholic abusive man she loved, and they lived in a shack on the other side of the bridge. The younger sister looked a bit like Princess Stephanie of Monaco and was a known actress, with a shag cut brown hair. The movie might have had Matt Damon in it, or it came out around the same time as the corner store junkie movie….same type of movie. Thanks!
Question: I vaguely remember a couple of scenes in a black and white movie I saw on TV when I was a young girl in the early 70's, but made in the 1960's or 1950's. I don't remember the title, and I think the scenes were toward the end. There was an airplane crash, and an African-American mother had her young daughter as one of the passengers on the plane when it crashed soon after take-off. The girl had a doll, and the mother found the doll among the wreckage. The mother had tears running down her face. I remember feeling very sad watching this scene. I want to say that the pilot was Jimmy Stewart or Henry Fonda but I could be wrong. I've been wracking my brain looking for this movie as I very much want to see it again.
Question: My mom would like to figure out the name of a TV movie that she saw years ago. She says that it was about a woman in an unsatisfying marriage who falls in love with a man who arrives on a boat, to "do business with her people" At the end she is about to leave with him when her husband arrives and says that he loves her, and if she wants to go she can. She decides to stay with him. I've looked everywhere, hope somebody can help me out. Thanks.firstname.lastname@example.org
Question: I really hope this jogs someone's memory as this has been with me for over 25 yrs! My brother and I watched a film one night I would love to have known the name of. The only thing I remember about the film is it was set in the 1960s at some school, and on a Halloween night this group of teenagers get dressed up to scare folk - one is dressed in a long black robe holding big table candle sticks burning away, and the person falls and gets severely burned. Next is a hospital scene where a boy is apologising to the person that's all burned and scared. This is all I remember about the film and my brother can't remember anything about it. Please help and a big thank you in advance.Craig Blair
Question: I have a question about a movie I used to watch when I was a child. I don't remember much of it, only that it was about Christmas and it was animated. It consisted of various scenes about winter, Christmas and happiness. I remember one scene with big sleighs sliding on the ice with happy people dressed in a Victorian manner and kids ice skating. Then, all of a sudden the ice begins to break and this rupture follows the happy people. I do not remember it as being very scary, although I do remember a shot following the breaking ice through this winter wonderland.vicky_1993
Question: I am looking for 90s or 2000 American TV series about spies or secret agent family. The main characters were the father, mother, two daughters and a son. I remember that the younger daughter's name could be Ruby - she had long dark hair with a fringe, and on that fringe she had a a bold blonde highlight. They all knew martial arts. If anybody remembers that series please help me.Anna KostyÅa
Question: I've been looking for years for an (American) TV series from the 1990s. The lead characters are two women, one blonde and one brunette. The brunette actress has a distinctly foreign-sounding name and is an 'exotic' beauty (of Arab origin perhaps?). Power, money, passion, high society are all keywords for a plot summary. There might be a large inheritance involved, but I'm not sure. The story looks at the relationships between characters and the 'prestige' factor rather than being packed with action/adventure. There is a dark atmosphere to many scenes, heavy innuendos, some mystery... In one scene the brunette actress dressed in a form-hugging black dress and with a 30s (short) hairstyle descends the monumental staircase and makes a "grand entrance" at a high society party. She may be holding a long slim cigarette holder and smoking. I was in high school at the time and I just remember certain images, but I've been looking for the name of this extremely beautiful brunette actress for some time. Does anyone have an idea?cgreculescu
Question: I am looking for a movie about a young African American girl who lives with her father and finds out that she is sick, then goes looking for her white mother who turns out to have another family that did not know about her. During the process she meets her young sister and the two run away. I thought that it started a young Kim Fields and Howard Rollins but am unsure.
Question: I am looking for the name of what I believe to be a TV show that was done in the last 10 years. It is a cop or FBI, CIA kind of show, all I can really recall about it is one episode, which I believe was the first episode. It is a blond girl's first day or first day back to work, I believe first day though, and she gets put on a case where a guy is killing girls on trains. She fits his tastes, so her boss gets her to go riding around on trains trying to get the guy to attack her, it is a big thing - many people are on the case watching her. (There is a dispute to whether or not she should do this because she doesn't have the experience.) Anyway there is a big screw up (they think they got their guy, but he's dead, maybe) and she gets yelled at by one of her bosses and I think she gets fired. On the train ride home she gets attacked by the real killer, and takes him out, I think? I also think it turns out that the boss realised that they got the wrong guy and sent her home so that it would appear that she was alone and desperate because the bad guy knew about the investigation, he was an inside man, or she didn't seem alone and desperate enough to draw out the real killer. That is all I can remember, and to be honest I kind of thought it was Criminal Minds but I watched them all, and it's not. So if anyone knows what the name of the show is, it would be greatly appreciated.
Question: There is a movie that I watched nearly 6-7 years ago. It was about a young ladies' man who seemingly had a girlfriend. It took place in a country club and there was this one woman of a heavier set that wanted the man badly. The man I remember specifically had sex with his girlfriend in his car but she did something to him before they could finish and it hurt him. The clothes and everything seemed based in the 1900-1920's. The man met a very beautiful, seemingly rich woman that he wanted badly, but she would not sleep with him. Here's the catch, all I remember were flies in a room in her house. There were flies everywhere. Towards the end of the movie he was in a hurry, and he ran into the heavy set woman, kissed her passionately, touched her everywhere then ran away. That's all I remember. Can you please help me?Tia Knowles
Question: Need help remembering a movie. It's about a young boy whose mom takes in an old man but the boy thinks there's something strange about him. The man tends to sleep a lot in the morning and when the boy gives the guy a pair of binoculars, he looks out the window but gets temporarily blinded when bright light gets into his eyes. Eventually he comes to believe that the old man is a vampire and tries to prove it to his mom. I saw this movie in probably mid to late 80's.
