The hand placed along the left side is near to the middle, whereas the hand placed along the right side is higher up. But in the next shot, both hands are level with each other.

Revealing mistake: Medal of Homer: After Homer says "It's the Civil War, duh", it cuts to an angle behind Homer and Bart. For the first frame of the shot, a couple of the lights in the village are not switched on and no smoke can be seen coming out of the chimneys. The lights and chimney smoke just pop-up on screen a couple frames into the shot.

Continuity mistake: Five Characters In Search Of An Author: When Matt Groening stands up after being beaten by Homer and Bart, he starts thanking Marge. When he says this, he is standing at an angle perpendicular to Lisa. In the next shot, he and Lisa are standing directly in front of each other.

Other mistake: Five Characters In Search Of An Author: When Bart begins inserting the key cards into the slots, we can see that all four of the slots are all different colours (purple, blue, red, pink). The key cards are supposed to be inserted into the slot that matches its colour. But he is shown inserting the blue keycard into the red slot.

Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God promises to make video game less violent, Marge is standing a foot behind Bart. Marge then nudges Bart on the shoulder, and she is standing right next to him.

Continuity mistake: Game Over: When the manual is shown falling down to Springfield, the alley way that Bart is shown walking down appears to be one straight path. When this same alley way appeared earlier in Bartman Begins, Bart was shown turning around a corner that doesn't appear to be present in the overview shot. The corner can be seen when the shot of the manual landing on the ground from Bartman Begins is replayed.

Continuity mistake: Game Over: When God says "Oops" after revealing he accidentally dropped the manual, Homer raises a baseball bat with wings. In this shot, the bat is held at a horizontal angle. But in the next shot, the bat is held at a more upright angle.

Continuity mistake: Game Over: When Homer raises the baseball bat to God and says "Oops ain't gonna cut cut, Mr Glowing Visage Beautiful-Beyond-All-Description", Maggie is sitting in the baby carrier attached to Marge's back, and is directly facing God. In the next shot, Maggie is suddenly facing the opposite direction with her head now turned to the right to face God easier.

Then it cuts to a shot of Bart and Lisa, where Bart says "We knew that, Birkenstocks", but they are the only ones in frame. Continuity mistake: Invasion of the Yokel Snatchers: When the security guard confronts the alien taking a whiz in the fountain, that one alien appears to be the only alien in sight. When the shot cuts back to Homer and Bart, two extra aliens have suddenly appeared.

Continuity mistake: Bargain Bin: When the family are in the living room looking at the Video Game FAQs, a drawer can be seen on both sides of the couch. Both of these drawers have a shelf below it, with three books shown each of the small shelves. A couple seconds later, when the Simpsons get transported to the Game Engine, the books have disappeared from the shelf closest to the window.

Trivia: This game offers 16 levels with different 2-character groupings. There are seven levels with Homer and Bart (eight if you count Game Over for the Wii and PSP versions), three with Bart and Lisa, two with Marge and Lisa, one with Homer and Lisa and one with Homer and Marge. However, there are no levels in the game that feature a 2-character grouping between Marge and Bart. The closest the game ever gets to this is the 4-character grouping Game Over (but only for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions).
