Continuity mistake: When the little orange kitten slams the door on Sylvester's right foot, the door initially stops at midway, but when Sylvester blows his top, the door is now fully open.

Continuity mistake: When the orange kitten slams Sylvester's right foot in the door, you can see that Sylvester's other foot is facing left, but in the next shot is now facing straight. There is also nothing on Sylvester's feet. When we see a close-up of his feet in the next shot, nails have appeared, and in the next shot the nails have vanished.

Continuity mistake: When Elmer tells Sylvester that he will be thrown out if he makes one more sound, you can see that Elmer's pyjama top has two lines on it, but when he comes down the stairs to say who is leaving the premises, the top has now two buttons on it.

Continuity mistake: When Sylvester tries to frame the orange kitten by pouring milk over him and then dropping the bottle to the ground, you can see there is a saucer beside the milk, but when Elmer goes and sees the kitten, the saucer has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Sylvester takes the fish bone from the orange kitten and puts it on his dustbin lid, the scraps of food on the lid disappear.

Continuity mistake: When Sylvester is looking through the dustbins for food at the start of the cartoon, you can see that his dustbin lid has only one scrap of food on it, but when the orange kitten appears in the next shot, there are now two scraps on the lid.

Trivia: When the orange cat is trying to frame Sylvester by making a lot of noise, he turns on the radio which plays a soap opera where the two main characters, "Melvin" and "Beatrice", take turns trying to kill each other. "Melvin" is Mel Blanc, whereas "Beatrice" is Bea Benaderet.
