Continuity mistake: When the FBI agents start running after realising the Elkhorn safe is missing, Evans can be seen positioned close to the other agents and is aligned with two armed men. In the next shot, he is running further ahead than the other agents by at least a metre. (01:29:20)
Continuity mistake: When Jack is about to flee in the FBI car, Dylan runs up to the car and places both of his hands on the front passenger-side window. When the shot cuts, his left hand is placed on top of the car. (01:20:51)

Continuity mistake: Dylan receives a cut on his cheek and neck during his fight with Jack. While speaking with Alma shortly before going to the Elkhorn building, the cuts appear to be faded. Continuity mistake: When Thaddeus asks Dylan if he wouldn't mind reenacting his look of absolute befuddlement, there is a shot of Dylan being filmed by the camera crew shown from the POV of the camera. In the background, Cowan and Thaddeus's assistant Hermia can be seen standing next to each other. But in the next shot, when Dylan says "Open the safe," Cowan and Hermia are further apart. (01:33:08)

Continuity mistake: When Jack picks up the wet cloth to shove into Agent Fuller's mouth, there is a tap in a sink with a cloth and the tap is pointed to the left. Then as Jack drags Fuller over to the garbage disposal in the sink, the tap is suddenly pointed forwards. And when Jack shoves Fuller's jacket sleeves into the garbage disposal, the tap is pointing to the right. (01:17:20)
Continuity mistake: While searching the apartment, Fuller finds a Lego building on top of some red velvet cloth placed on a table. There is one corner of the table that doesn't appear to be covered by the cloth. But in the next shot, the corner is suddenly covered by the velvet cloth. (01:16:55)
Continuity mistake: When Alma chuckles at Dylan after he removes the teleportation helmet, Dylan can be seen on the right-hand side of the shot. When the shot cuts, he is shown brushing his hair with his left hand, which should have been visible in the previous shot of Alma chuckling. (00:36:21)
Continuity mistake: After Thaddeus has walked into the fake vault, Dylan asks what was with the helmet. At this moment, Dylan starts to remove the helmet with both hands. Thaddeus then replies, "My fun," and Dylan can be seen in the background removing the helmet with one hand. Then, when the shot cuts to focus on Alma, he is removing it with both hands. (00:36:18)
Continuity mistake: Just after Dylan has landed in the fake vault, he is standing while the door starts to open. At this moment, his left foot is pointed straight forwards and his right foot is rotated a few inches to the right. Continuity mistake: When Dylan and Evans are walking through the FBI office, just as Dylan says "Get Turkelson" and Evans replies "He's in Atlantic City," Dylan has his right arm lowered. In the next shot, his right forearm is raised so that he can point to Cowan. (00:24:30)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt is explaining to Dylan what mentalism is, he raises his hands and places them on his head, raising both the handcuffs and the handcuff chains with him. From the first angle, the chain has been raised so it is not touching the table, but when he goes to put his hands on his head in the following shot, a piece of the chain, from both handcuffs, is suddenly resting on the table. Visible crew/equipment: After Jack has finished his spoon-bending trick, a passenger on the ferry finds the spoon and stem he was using. There is a close-up shot of the spoon being removed from Jack's trouser pocket, where a reflector screen can be seen reflected on the spoon. (00:04:55)
Answer: The mirror was inserted at an angle, so that the reflection was the ceiling and not what was in front of them. It's the same principle for how periscopes work.
