Continuity mistake: During the fight at the apartment, Jack grabs Dylan's gun with a belt and throws them at Agent Fuller, trapped in the sink's garbage disposal. When Fuller is hit, his head is thrown backwards slightly. In the shot following, his head is suddenly facing forwards. This is only visible for a split second, so you'll need to be quick in order to see it. (01:17:35)
Continuity mistake: When Dylan is shown the interrogation tape of Daniel stealing his phone, the video frame shows no lower than Daniel's belt as he tells them to zoom in tighter. But in a close-up of the video when Dylan says "Tighter" a second time, the video frame now shows almost half of his trousers visible within the video frame. (01:13:50)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt mind reads Daniel to find out he is a "control freak", Henley is behind Daniel. Then she is standing next to him, then back to behind him where she takes a step forward to be right next to him. (00:10:50)
Continuity mistake: When Daniel starts doing a card trick on Thaddeus in their room, all four Horsemen are standing even with each other. A couple shots later, Henley and Jack are both suddenly standing behind Daniel and Merritt. Then a few shots after that, they are even with each other again. Extended version. (00:51:30)
Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen find the blueprints, as Henley says "I really want to meet them", she is standing about a foot away from Daniel. But in the next shot, she's suddenly standing several feet away from him. (00:14:15)
Continuity mistake: Just after Daniel and Henley put the rabbit in the box at the New Orleans show, Daniel closes the lid to the rabbit box. Daniel then says "If you'll say the magic word?" to Henley. Henley at this point, has both of her hands on her hips. Then her hands in front of her belly held together. Continuity mistake: When Jack performs his magic trick on the spoon, a man figures out how he did it and demands $100. In a close-up of his wallet, the wallet is opened. But in the wide angle, the wallet is suddenly closed. (00:05:05)
Factual error: In the final scene in Paris at the bridge with the padlocks, most of the keys tossed in the river are distinctive Kwikset brand keys. Kwikset only makes one fairly specialised type of padlock - no way all the keys are for that one type. (01:54:10)
Other mistake: When Dylan is transported from the stage to "the vault", Alma, Thaddeus and Thaddeus' assistant manage to get down the stairs to "the vault" just a few seconds after he lands as if they took a simple walk there. How would they get there that fast anyway? Dylan got to "the vault" by going through a "teleportation device" that went straight to the fake vault under the stage, but the other three had to walk down a flight of stairs to get there. Even with the fake vault being close to the stage it still would take longer to get down to the fake vault. To begin with, when the vault opened, the stairs they walked down were visible several meters in the background. There were about 13 steps on the staircase which would have made the width of the staircase about 3 meters and the height about 4 meters. With the staircase at this length and position, the staircase leading to the fake vault would have had to have been located around the sitting area. Alma, Thaddeus and Thaddeus' assistant managed to get to the fake vault in about 6 seconds, too quickly. (00:36:05)
Continuity mistake: When Alma walks over to the bench on the bridge, there is a woman sitting on it and a guy standing next to the bench. When she sits down, the woman sitting and the guy standing next to it have instantly vanished. (01:51:20)
Continuity mistake: When Alma says "Nice watch" to Dylan before the Horsemen begin the New Orleans show, her arms are on the arm rests. Next shot, her arms are suddenly crossed. (00:52:30)
Continuity mistake: When the audience's account balances start rising, Dylan asks Fuller if it is for real. The scene cuts to Fuller in the van. To the side of him is a woman on a computer. Next to her is another computer that shows green encryption. In a close-up, the encryption is orange, then back to green. (01:02:30)
Continuity mistake: During their conversation on the balcony, when Alma says "Do you really think it's possible there's a fifth Horseman?", the left side (right side from camera view) of her jumper shows a couple of inches of her shoulder. The cameras are pointed closely at their faces and yet you see a complete body shot of each one on the walls. (01:34:35)
Continuity mistake: When Jack's car is crashing on the bridge, there is a shot where the car stops flipping and comes to a stop. The shot cuts to Dylan and Alma in the car, but when the shot cuts back, the car is still flipping. (01:24:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Thaddeus explains to Dylan and Alma the Horsemen's first trick, he asks his assistant to get the teleportation helmet for Dylan. As Thaddeus' assistant reaches down for the helmet, Dylan is looking at Thaddeus, not smiling. In the next shot, Dylan is suddenly looking at Thaddeus' assistant with his head turned 90 degrees, now smiling. (00:35:30)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt mind reads the cafe guy, he "picks up a woman's name" and starts saying "A - B - C - D - E - F - G - H - I - J - Janet." In the rapid shot of the man's mouth when Merritt says this shows his head in fixed position. But in the rapid shot of the man's eyes when Merritt says this now shows his head shifted a bit.
