Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Corrected entry: As Mikaela jumps out of the hole made in the library wall, she is wearing black flats opposed to the black heels she was wearing when they entered. We see her holding black heels in her hand while she is running down the steps, and she could have changed shoes while sitting in the library. But while she is running down the steps shortly afterwards they are now white. (00:53:50)

Amber McCracken Craig

Correction: I watched this scene a couple times very carefully to make sure I didn't miss anything. They never show her wearing white shoes. In the library they show her wearing her black high heels (you can see them twice in the whole sequence). Then they show her running down the stairs outside the library, carrying her black high heels. Then they show her jump into the car, not wearing any shoes.

Corrected entry: In Simmons' meat locker when he's showing Sam the markings on ancient ruins around the world, he shows him a colored film from 1932 with alien markings. Autochrome was the only color based film plate before 1932 and was used in still photography. (01:18:00)

Correction: With Our King and Queen Through India was a Kinemacolor film from 1912, and The Gulf Between was a Technicolor film from 1917.

Corrected entry: In the beginning, when Optimus is telling the history of mankind and Transformers, they show a tiger. Tigers did not exist back then. The chances are they would have been hunting sabretooths etc., not tigers.

Correction: Tigers first evolved approximately 2 million years ago and are thus around 1.75 million years older than Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Their appearance in the fossil record is a little after Homo Habilis (oldest fossils estimated about 2.5 mya), making them existent throughout some 80% or so of tool-using Hominid history.

Corrected entry: In the opening scene, humans with hunting tools find Transformers building the Sun Harvester amid mountains so high they are covered in snow. This is to be the site of the Great Pyramids, and within some thousands (thousands, not millions) of years, the mountains have completely eroded down to sand dunes.

Correction: It was never stated where this opening scene occurred relative to current day geography. Transformers remained on Earth since this time. During these thousands of years (not millions) the machine could easily have moved.

Corrected entry: In the shot where the Autobots are approaching over the freeway, before the shot of "Major, in coming SOS from Autobots" you can see a driver behind the wheel of Optimus. (00:48:55)

Correction: All Transformers, be they Autobots or Decepticons, are capable of producing a holographic projection of a driver, pilot, etc. This was demonstrated in the first film.

Phixius Premium member

Corrected entry: In the scene where Sam and Mikaela are running away from the Decepticons after being captured, you see Bumblebee with Sam already in the car with his arm hanging out the window. Next scene, you see him running to Bumblebee and opening the driver's side door. As Bumblebee drives off, you see Sam's arm hanging out again.

Correction: Sam never gets into Bumblebee. He rides with Optimus. They go to the forest. Megatron attacks Optimus as Sam runs & hides. Leo & Mikaela get into Bumblebee.

Corrected entry: In this movie we learn that all the Primes (I. E. Optimus) had to die for The Fallen to rise. But in the next movie we find out that Sentinel Prime is alive but in a coma, on the moon. So in this movie when Optimus is killed, The Fallen should not be freed.

Correction: Sentinel Prime wasn't alive. He was in stasis lock. It's nothing like being in a coma. It's a near dead state where you can hardly be considered alive. He needed to be recharged with Energon to be alive. Plus, Sentinel was thought long dead since The Ark disappeared many years ago.

Corrected entry: In the movie's finale, when Mikaela and Sam are being pursued in Egypt, Mikaela's trousers are perfectly white after crawling in dust and getting dirty. (02:00:00 - 02:10:00)

Correction: If you have ever been to the beach, you would know that normal sand is very clean and it doesn't leave stains, even on white pants.

Corrected entry: When underneath the meat locker, Leo tries to touch Frenzy's head, which Simmons took form the Hoover Dam. Simmons stops him by saying that it is still radio active. In the first film, he takes a reading of Sam after two days after buying Bumblebee, and it shows fourteen rads. After two years, Sam would be long dead if he kept using Bumblebee as a car, or even keep it near him in the garage. Simmons' Geiger counter also gives out a reading when Optimus first meets Simmons, so it's not just Frenzy who is radioactive.

Correction: I'm confused. What is the mistake? We know all Transformers emit some form of radiation. It was pointed out in the first movie. We also know it can be transferred to anything nearby, biological and non-biological. If it is deadly then they all would have worn bio-suits to Sam's house. I guess it is not harmful to humans.

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie we see the U.S. military deploy several troops to Egypt; however, one scene has LCACs landing 2 M1A1 Abrams, so obviously they are Marines. But later we see that they become M1A2s which are only in service with the Army, not Marines. And it only shows 2 landing but later there are several M1s and M2s (along with a M270). Also when the tanks are landing we see 2 AH-1 Supercobras but they mysteriously disappear after that scene.

Correction: After the military landed, a soldier (US Army as he is wearing ACU) asks Major Lennox where he wanted them to be. Right after, you see a US Marine in Desert MARPAT uniform shooting and a US Army soldier in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) in front of the Marine in prone position. This is a joint military deployment, therefore not just from a single branch.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Sam dies, and the military people rushes towards him at the ground - you can see that when they "hit" him while he is laying there dead, his eyelid is actually moving.

Correction: When A body dies the electrical impulses in the body don't stop immediately. Plus, we don't really know if he was truly dead.

Corrected entry: Orion's Belt (a.k.a. "The 3 Kings") is supposed to point to the Tomb of the Primes, and Jetfire had been searching for ages for it. Because of Earth's rotation on an axis, the stars never appear in the exact same place, even over the course of one night. The only one that doesn't shift is Polaris and that's why it's called the "North Star". Also after thousands and thousands of years, the stars will completely change positions (even Polaris).

Correction: This falls squarely in the realm of "Suspension of disbelief"

Corrected entry: After Optimus Prime dies, there is a shot of Soundwave saying "Decepticons, mobilize". In this shot, you can see that Soundwave is not connected to the military satellite, when he is in a later scene.

Brad Premium member

Correction: The gaps in time between shots of Soundwave are large enough to assume that he would attach and detach from the satellites as needed.

Corrected entry: When Sam, Mikaela and Leo are running from Alice outside the library, Mikaela's shoes are in her hand when running down the stairs, but in the following shot her shoes are back on her feet.

Correction: Yes, the shoes are in Mikaela's hand as she runs down the stairs on campus, but the "following shot" does not take place during the very next moment in real time. In that "following shot", she, Sam and Leo are in a different area of the campus quad, so between those two shots there was ample time for her to slip on her shoes if she chose to, off-camera.

Corrected entry: In Egypt, after Sgt. Epps mentions that the jets will target the orange smoke, you see everyone running away from the smoke in slow motion. Sam is holding the sock with the disintegrated Matrix in his left hand. In different shots as he is running away, the sock switches to his to right hand and then back to his left hand.

Correction: When they begin running (and it isn't in slow motion) the sock is in Sam's right hand and remains in his right hand until the shot where Megatron appears behind Sam. However, it's still not a continuity mistake, because between the shot of the sock in his right hand and then the sock being in his left hand there is a shot of Mikaela, during which there is time for Sam to simply switch hands.

Corrected entry: When Sam is supposedly dead, it shows him walking into a bright light while talking to Autobots. It shows Sam's pinky and ring finger wrapped up in a bandage, but a couple of seconds later the bandage has changed to wrapping Sam's middle and ring fingers.

Lil guy

Correction: It never shows Sam's pinky and ring finger wrapped in a bandage. When the Primes speak to Sam the bandage on his hand remains consistent, wrapped around his middle and ring fingers, leaving his pinky and index finger free.

Super Grover Premium member

Corrected entry: When Sam and Mikaela are running towards the soldiers, as Lennox rushes to help them, he runs right past a cameraman.

Brad Premium member

Correction: You're mistaken. Major Lennox does not run past a cameraman.

Corrected entry: The pyramids and the temples at Petra are tourist destinations where many people are surrounding the area and keeping it crowded. There is no way you would ever find the pyramids as empty as they are in the movie.

Correction: At this point in the film many people are scared of the Decepticons, and probably thought it would be best to stay far away from highly traffic tourist spots, or the government may have banned people from these destinations until the conflict was over.

Corrected entry: At the end of the first movie, Bumblebee speaks. He says "Requesting permission to stay with the boy." However in the sequel, he's back to talking by using his radio.

Correction: And is referenced in the movie. Sam believes he's "faking it" when Mikayla asks if "he's still having voice problems". Two years has passed. His voice may have fixed temporarily or maybe Sam is right, he's just faking it.

Corrected entry: During the battle in Egypt there are F-16s attacking the Decepticons. This is made very clear by repeated shots of the F-16s, and characters saying things like "I hope those F-16s are accurate. Just after the 'F-16 strike' we jump to another shot of two characters, and behind them you can see two jets pulling up and banking away, apparently just having made the strike. One of them is an A-10 Warthog, not an F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Correction: Actually, both planes in that shot were A-10 Thunderbolts. It is never suggested or implied that the only air support present is in the form of the F-16s we also see.

Corrected entry: In the first scene of the movie, men are shown hunting when they come upon the transformers building the machine that destroys suns. There is a tiger in this scene and we know the machine is under the pyramids in Egypt. Tigers have never evolved in or made it to the African continent. (00:01:25)

Correction: Neither did giant transforming robots. This history is a little deviated from Earth's actual history.

Phixius Premium member

Corrected entry: Egypt: When Sam and Mikaela separate from Leo & Simmons (right after finding the Matrix), Sam gets in Bumblebee and Mikaela runs to the left away from Bumblebee and out of the shot. Bumblebee then drives away without her. Even Leo is turned around watching her run the wrong way as if to say, "Where you going, girl?" Also after this scene, why are Mikaela and Sam no longer in Bumblebee? I never understood how and why they get out of the car and travel on foot to the pillars instead of driving. (01:47:15)

Correction: Sam and Mikaela run off to get to Optimus. Bumblebee stays behind to distract the Decepticons. This is all specifically stated in the scene.

Brad Premium member

Corrected entry: At the beginning, after Bumblebee blows up the house, when Sam tells him to get in the garage, his mouth doesn't move.

Brad Premium member

Correction: You don't need to move your lips to speak that phrase. Sam is angry and speaking through gritted teeth; this is why his mouth appears not to move.

Corrected entry: During a shot on the AWACS plane, a female actor says, "2,000 ton bomb", it should be "2,000 pound bomb.

Correction: Actually what she says is "You are approved to drop a 2,000 pound JDAM" How do I know. That is my daughter and she is a Capt. aboard the AWACS and that's her job. Air Battle Manager.

Corrected entry: Assuming the Decepticons are individuals (which they all have been), the constructicons are all in different places at once. One of the first guys you see is Scavenger: he forms the chest of Devestator but dies to Optimus in one of the fist scenes. It gets worse in the final battle where the individual robots that form Devastator can be seen fighting individually at the same time. You see Long Haul (the big green dump truck) sneaking around a building looking for Sam - he is the leg of Devastator who is stomping around at the time. Bumblebee has a 10 minute fight with Rampage - who is Devastator's right arm. I am pretty sure that was Hightower helping Megatron find Sam as well - though currently he is Devastator's leg. Oh and then during and after Devastator is being destroying you can see Mixmaster (Devastator's head) getting his butt kicked by Jetfire. Also the huge Shovel vehicle afterward is supposed to be Scrapper (the other arm for Devastator). It's as though they had something else in mind for the plot but things changed in editing etc. These were always supposed to be individuals, not clones. They even have the same paint-jobs as their Devastator components. I love this movie but this is an amazing thing to overlook from a continuity standpoint.

Correction: Sorry, but you lose out in the first line of your submission with your assumption that the Constructicons are all individuals with unique alternate forms. They're not. It's perfectly clear simply by watching the film that there are multiple robots with the same alternate form.

Corrected entry: In the scene after the F-16s air strike and 2000 pound bomb attack, Ironhide is seen running away from the explosions, you can see his weapons break and fall off. Yet just before the Fallen attacks the resurrected Optimus, you can see that Ironhide now has his weapons back on his arms.

Correction: Between Sam being worked on and Optimus being revived, there is plenty of time for Ratchet to retrieve them or even re-generate new weapons (we still have little understanding of their species).

Corrected entry: Near the end, when the big red Transformer is vacuuming everything in its sight, Leo and Agent Simmons are hiding behind a van. The van gets sucked right in and so do a lot of other heavy objects, yet they manage to run away. It is physically impossible to run away from something powerful enough to vacuum houses and cars.

A l e x

Correction: The less mass something has (disregarding weight), the harder it is to be sucked up like that, depending on the machine that is vacuuming.

Corrected entry: At the beginning, the shard of the Cube drops onto the kitchen table and transforms all electrical equipment in the kitchen into Transformers. Sam's dad asks, when hiding behind the fountain, what they are and Sam replies, "The whole kitchen". However, Sam was on the 2nd floor when the kitchen appliances transformed, so he shouldn't have known all the Transformers came from the kitchen.

Correction: However, since all of them resemble kitchen appliances, it is an easy assumption for Sam to make.

Corrected entry: The F16s striking the Decepticons in the end battle actually are F/A18s. Also, F16s aren't used on aircraft carriers.

Correction: They never show F16s on an aircraft carrier. They do show F16s taking off from a ground base.

Corrected entry: When Sam lands on the other end of the "Space Bridge", he is seen holding his hand and screaming. The next scene his hand is wrapped with fresh gauze. Where did it come from?

Correction: Mikaela is (briefly) shown wrapping his hand, although it's never specifically shown where she produced the gauze from.

Corrected entry: When Sam's roommate is showing him his video setup, he says, "The government covered up that thing in L.A. two years ago." (I know that's not the exact wording that he used). However, the showdown with Megatron and the Decepticons over the AllSpark happened in Mission City, not Los Angeles.

Correction: Mission City is a fictional place, but is most likely a district or neighborhood of greater Los Angeles, not a separate city of its own. Similarly, Georgetown is a neighborhood of and technically in Washington, D.C., but most people still refer to it as Georgetown.

Corrected entry: When they're in Egypt, where Shia Luboff and Megan Fox are running away from the Decepticon, he has on a leather jacket and then under that a white t-shirt, then under that a purple hoodie. As they are running, he had to be able to take off his white t-shirt, then take off his purple hoodie, then put back his t-shirt again, all while running away.

Correction: The "hoodie" actually belongs to the jacket.

Corrected entry: For some reason, one of the Decepticons can suck up cars and enormous slabs of concrete but cannot suck up the two characters running away from it.

Correction: Same thing happens with tornadoes. A roof can be lifted off a house, but a bed within the same house would be undisturbed. It happens.

Corrected entry: After Sam, Mikaela, and Leo escape from Megatron and the Micro 'Doc Bot' they go to a deserted 'junkyard' with Skids, Mudflap, and Bumblebee. When nightfall hits, after Sam tells Bumblebee that he has to turn himself in, Bumblebee encourages him to stay the course and then turns into car mode. At that point when Sam is leaning on the hood and Bumblebee scooches forward and flashes his lights, you are able to see the obvious outline of a crew man in the driver side seat of Bumblebee, making Bumblebee move. (In the previous and following shots there is no holographic projection of a driver in Bumblebee.)

Correction: Submitted and corrected. A transformer can create the appearance a driver. as seen from the first film with Blackout, Starscream, and Barricade.

Corrected entry: In the first movie actor Glenn Morshower plays Colonel Sharp, commander of the SOCCENT airbase that is destroyed by Blackout at the beginning, with no survivors(according to John Keller). In the second movie he plays General Morshower in command of of the NEST base.Apparently more than Transformers can come back to life.

Correction: Not a mistake by any stretch of the imagination. They're completely different characters who just happen to be played by the same person. What happens to one has no effect on the other.

Corrected entry: When Sam leaves for college they leave in a little black car, but arrive in a grayish SUV.

Correction: I submitted this same mistake. This is the correction: "Sam and his parents live near the west coast of the country. It is quite possible that they packed the hatchback, drove to the airport, hopped on a plane and flew to the east coast where the college is located, rented the Trailblazer and drove to the school. Why would they have to show every part of the journey?"

Chris Skoglund Premium member

Corrected entry: After Sam and Mikaela find the Matrix and exit the tomb when they hear the planes coming that are hauling Optimus Prime, there is a shot of Agent Simmons standing on the steps of the tomb, and behind him there is no hole in the wall where they broke through to find the actual Tomb of the Primes.

Correction: This is because where Simmons is standing you see the back of the temple. The hole is located on the left wall when they walk in, not at the back.

Corrected entry: When Mikaela and Sam enter the room to hide, a tiny robot flies in - Sam holds it with one hand and uses the other hand to tear it apart. In this shot the bandages on his hand have disappeared.

Correction: His hand is bandaged but his thumb and forefinger are still exposed. The shot was taken using an extreme close up so you don't see the bandages.

Corrected entry: When the main soldier is in a airplane or helicopter you can see a large chunk of green screen behind his head.

Correction: I'm sorry, you're going to have to be a lot more specific than that, please try again and resubmit with more detail, its just too vague.

Corrected entry: The Primes tell Sam to merge the Matrix with Optimus's spark. That would be impossible, seeing as how Megatron thrust his claw through Prime's spark core during the forest battle, causing a massive explosion and Prime's death.

Correction: While Megatron did spear Prime through the chest, he didn't kill Prime outright. As seen with Megatron, there are various stages of death with Transformers and Megatron and Prime were in whats called Stasis Lock. Without a source of power to revive them they would eventually die but their spark still existed. By Sam using the power of the Matrix to repower Prime, he was able to live. We also never specificly see Primes spark extingushed, which means its it existed in some sort of suspended form.

Corrected entry: During the escape in the desert, Agent Simmons tazes Sam's roommate and as he screams it cuts to a another shot of him passed out already but he is still heard screaming.

Correction: Yes screams are heard. It could be Sam or (less likely to be) Mikayla. They are witnessing their friend get zapped in the throat.

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, when the cavemen are running around, the sub-title states that it's "17000 AD" instead of the correct "BC".

Correction: I've seen this film seven times and it correctly states "17,000 BC". You may need to look closer.

Corrected entry: On several occasions in the movie, you can see the US Air Force roundel displayed on aircraft not used by the Air Force, such as F-18s.

Correction: The star roundel is used by all branches of the US Military.

Corrected entry: When the military enters the All Spark Cube Shard Bunker the shard is still in it's cryo case in the center of the room. In the next shot an instant later, the razor thin Decepticon passes in the foreground and the shard is now it it's hand and the case is empty.

Correction: The box is empty. It even has the two cuts from the razor Decepticons' cutters visible in a rectangle shape.

Corrected entry: In the scene where the N.E.S.T Major is demoted, the liaison rips off the Major's velcro rank insignia, leaving an empty space. After the liaison leaves, you can see the gap has been replaced by something else.

Correction: This is wrong. There is nothing replacing the patch, there is an empty, raised square where the patch used to be. The liaison doesn't leave either, he stays with them and later gets pushed out of the plane. Which movie were you watching? We took three people to see it again today with the mistakes list and had a close look at them and this one is wrong.

Corrected entry: When Agent Simmons is climbing the pyramid to catch up to the massive robot at the top, one shot shows him quite far away from the robot. In the next shot he is suddenly very near it.

Correction: He is always seen at the edge of the Pyramid. The distance to the Devastator is relative to the camera angle.

Corrected entry: When Jetfire is in robot mode, white sidewinder missiles can be seen on his legs. Sr22's don't have any weapons.

Correction: First, Jetfire is a SR-71 not SR22. But after seeing this film again and even inspecting stills from the movie there are no missiles on Jetfire's legs. The "missiles" you see are just various parts that have come together in his robot mode that look like a tube with fins on it, but it is not a missile. A Sidewinder is an all white missile and the parts you see are from various parts of his aircraft mode and are various colors.

Corrected entry: Blackout is in the fight scene between Optimus, Starscream and Megatron in the woods, and has his face ripped apart by Optimus. But he was quite killed by aircraft fire and a rocket launcher in the final battle of the first film. This is definitely Blackout, and makes no sense.

Correction: This character is NOT Blackout. His name is Grindor and he used the same alt mode as Blackout. His head has an entirely different design than Blackout.

Corrected entry: In the desert battle at the end, Bonecrusher is seen entering the fight. He was decapitated by Optimus Prime in the first film.

Correction: Another Decepticon has chosen to take that form.

Corrected entry: Whenever we see Bumblebee in his robot mode his yellow body armour is scratched, dented, battered and blackened as if he has been in a battle, however when he transforms into his Camero form the body work is pristine. This occurs even when Bumblebee has been in action throughout the film. Driving in the desert doesn't even cause him to pick up any dust (unlike Skids and Mudflap).

Correction: These are Transformers. They can change their appearance to match form, shape or look. So Bumblebee has chosen to represent his robot form which may not match his pristine car form.

Corrected entry: When Mikaela is hot wiring the car to escape from the female Decepticon, Sam shouts, "Go, go go, Megan, go." That's the actress' real name, not the character's name of Mikaela. (00:54:10)

Correction: Incorrect, Sam said "Go, go, go, make it go."

Corrected entry: They show Devastator with two balls hanging around. Devastators are construction vehicles, but none of them have a wrecking ball on them, much less two. Also remember, Prime killed Demolisher in the beginning: he was there again at the main body of Devastator.

Correction: As we see in the movie, there are several Decepticons with the same form, so another one could've rescanned into that mode after Demolisher's death. Also, it was never stated in the film that Demolisher formed Devastator.

Brad Premium member

Corrected entry: In the night scene after 'the death scene', Sam says he will give himself up to the authorities. Bumblebee tries to convince him otherwise and transforms. He then revs his engine as Sam sits on his bonnet. You can see the crew member's silhouette in the Camaro as the car is revv'ed.

Correction: Duplicate entry and has been corrected many times. The transformers can project holographic images of drivers.

Corrected entry: It took a remarkably short amount of time to rebuild Megatron. Only a few minutes appeared to pass between the point that the Decepticons arrive at Megatron's corpse, the smaller Decepticon is killed and used for parts, and Megatron is completely repaired. The Allspark shard had not even been placed in Megatron yet, so it is amazing that he could have been fixed that fast without it.

Correction: Too fast? Compared to what? They are of unknown species with unknown healing capabilities. Besides, when we see the AllSpark shard stabbed into Megatron we see him react. In the next scene he is well into his ascent to the top. We don't know how much time has elapsed between.

Corrected entry: At the end, after Sam is told by the ancient Primes that the Matrix is "earned, and not found", then how is The Fallen able to easily take it away from them?

Correction: The Fallen is one of those ancient Primes who created it in the first place, so it's safe to say that he can handle the Matrix as much as he wants. Sam isn't, so he has to prove his worth.

Corrected entry: When the Matrix of Leadership disintegrates, Sam puts the fragments into a sock, but from that moment, until the Matrix is reconstructed, we see that everyone who was with Sam, who should be wearing socks, still has both of them on.

wizard_of_gore Premium member

Correction: Just before after the Matrix disintegrates, we see Sam take his sock off and put the dust in it. He is wearing pants the rest of the movie so we never see any bare feet.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Optimus Prime is getting dropped off by the airplanes, right after you see Sam and his girlfriend walk off towards the drop zone, there is a scene in the nearby town. It's a split second scene, but you can see a graphical error in which a man is almost thrown to the ground from the top of a small building and then the shot cuts. (01:43:15)

Correction: It appears to be a soldier jumping from one building to another. Wildly at that. i.e. waving his arms and legs around. If I recall correctly, just before the screen switches, a blast can be seen on top of the building the soldier jumps off. He was anticipating the explosion and jumps.

Corrected entry: The Decepticons want to restore their supply of Energon by destroying the Earth's sun. The problem is, the resulting explosion (or supernova, or whatever), would almost instantly destroy the Earth and everything, including the Decepticons, on it.

wizard_of_gore Premium member

Correction: They never state exactly what will happen to the Sun, just that it will be destroyed in order to create Energon. Presumably the sun's energies will be siphoned in some way to extract the energy required - they're not just going to blow it up.

Corrected entry: After the soldiers' communications are cut off and order is given to launch the Predator, an MQ-9 Reaper is shown taking off.

Correction: The MQ-9 Reaper is also known as the Predator B and is commonly referred to as such by the manufacturer, the press, and even members of the military. Before it was officially given the name 'Reaper' the only name it had was Predator B. The Predator A is officially the MQ-1 Predator in service.

Corrected entry: In the first movie, the Allspark Cube fell to Earth over a thousand years ago. In the second movie, it explains that the Transformers have been on Earth for about the same time (if not longer). If the Transformers have been on Earth for over a thousand years, why didn't they recover the Allspark Cube then?

Correction: First, plain and simple they weren't looking for it. As we've seen, when transformers look for a specific energy signature, they tend to ignore all other signatures. Also the Seekers as they're known, may have been in a dormant period (as Jetfire was) and not know the Cube was lost to Earth. While we see there were active Seekers in the late 19th and early 20th century, they weren't looking for the Cube and they had no knowledge it was here. Why would you look for something you didn't know was here in the first place?

Corrected entry: When Sam "dies" and the sergeant runs to him, Sam's eyes blink.

Correction: Because he's dying, not dead.

Corrected entry: The Matrix of Leadership only collapses to dust when Sam touches it. If the Matrix was indeed locked off for thousands of years, it would've collapsed the minute Bumblebee blasted the tomb open. Simmons even says that the sudden burst of air caused the key to collapse.

Brad Premium member

Correction: Simmons was simply assuming the fresh air after years of being sealed caused the Matrix to fall to dust. Bumblebee shooting the wall and the air had nothing to do with the Matrix disintigrating. As is later revealed, the reason the Matrix disintigrated was because Sam had not "earned" the Matrix in the eyes of the Primes, something he did when he put his life on the line for Optimus. As the Primes said in Sam's vision, "The Matrix must be EARNED, not found".

Corrected entry: After of one of the Decepticons has cut off the top of the Khafre pyramid (the one with the remaining original outer stone layer at the top), you can see it complete later in a scene with the S7 agent.

Correction: Another 'mistake' entry has made reference to the Khafre pyramid being shown in the background. However in the movie, it is portrayed as a different pyramid. The pyramid that Devastator rips apart remains in that state for the entire sequence.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Megatron has just been revived and is heading up to smash into the submarine, we hear the captain of the submarine say, "Evasive manouver left", yet in the very next shot, the submarine turns right.

Correction: This is just the result of the angle from which the submarine is viewed.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Mikaela smashes Alice into the lamp post, a large chunk of stone falls on the hood of the car. In the next shot, it's gone.

Brad Premium member

Correction: To be exact, a big piece of outer covering of the lamp post falls onto the car. The piece is notably thin and lightweight. An unknown amount of time has passed until the next time we see the front of the car. It has enough time to slide off the windshield. The issue of the piece is a thin piece of the lamp post is a totally different matter and could also be a mistake in itself but not in reference to this mistake.

Corrected entry: In one of the scenes in Egypt, Bumblebee is driving beside the group and is supposed to not have anyone inside of him, but the driver of the car can be seen.

Correction: The Transformers can project holographic drivers.

Corrected entry: The Autobots and Decepticons apparently require air (vaporous puffs of breath when speaking, labored breathing when in distress, etc.), yet can still fly through hard vacuum when the plot requires them to.

Correction: This was listed, then corrected for the first mvie. Transformers mimic whatever lifeform they blend with so breathing, talking, etc. while not neccessary, is mimicked so they are able to blend and connect with whatever lifeforms they encounter.

Corrected entry: When Wheelie and Jetfire are talking, it's stated that the Decepticons' goal is to destroy the Universe, and that hate is their only motivator. That is incorrect, per the discussion between Megatron, the Fallen, and Starscream. It's just that the Decepticons don't care about other sentient species (particularly humans), when balanced against the survival of their own.

Correction: Jetfire has become disillusioned with the Decepticons. His feelings toward them are therefore skewed. Call it a kind of propaganda.

Corrected entry: Sam goes through all the trouble to find the matrix to get Prime back to life, when all he could have done was put the ALL Spark piece into him. It worked for Megatron.

Correction: Megatron's Spark was fused with the Cube, merely "overloading" him to death. The mechanics of his person were still completely intact. Optimus Prime was physically destroyed. His body would not function. Applying the Cube shard to him would be like using a defibrillator on a corpse with a severed head.

Corrected entry: There are several time lapse mistakes in the movie where time is fast-forwarded inexplicably. For instance, the scene where Ravage (the cat-like Decepticon) attacks the base in daylight, then full dark falls too quickly.

Correction: When we see Ravage emerge from the water the sun is setting. We are not shown how much time it took for Ravage to make it to the base. It is not necessary to show every moment onscreen.

Corrected entry: At numerous times during the Egypt scenes, the pyramids are seen in the foreground while downtown LA is seen in the background.

Correction: The city seen below the Pyramids is Cairo not LA.

Corrected entry: In Egypt the Transformer that is sucking everything into itself, it's sucking all kinds of things and we see in one scene where the walls of a trailer are ripped off and sucked into the monster. Just in front or on the side of the trailer is a little table with a lamp and some other kind of decoration on it but it never moves. How can the walls of a trailer be torn off but a little table with stuff on it stay where it is?

Correction: Oddities like that happen in real life. For example, a tornado destroying everything in a yard, including tearing away a garage, but the car inside had no damage, not even scratche3d paint. Forest fires burning down every house on a block except for one which, for no apparent reason, doesn't even get singed. Just two examples of inexplicable things happening.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Sam's parents are outside a cafe in Paris you can see a Budweiser bottle on the table. This beer is not sold in France, largely due to copyright issues with a European beer of the same name [but which has a significantly different bottle].

Correction: They do sell it in Europe, but as "Bud". It's packaged in the same Budweiser bottle but with a different name.

Corrected entry: The Constructicons make up Devastator. When Agent Simmons, Leo, Mudflap & Skids are fighting Devastator. The Constructicons that are Devastator's head [The Cement Mixer Truck and Long Haul The Giant Green Dump Truck, which is the last vehicle to transform right behind Simmons & Leo] are both seen fighting in their robot modes against the N.E.S.T team members at the same time as being a part of Devastator.Unless they can be in two places at the same time, this isn't possible.

Correction: The constructicons fighting the N.E.S.T. team, and the ones making up Devestator are totally different robots. So, yes, this does mean that there are 2 mixmasters, 2 Rampages and 2 Long Hauls. No reason different robots can't choose the same alternate modes.

Corrected entry: At the end of the first film, the remains of Megatron and the other Decepticons were sunk to great depths because the pressure and freezing temperatures (to which Transformers are vulnerable) will prevent the remains from being recovered. Yet this was completely ignored in this movie, with the Decepticons diving in to retrieve and revive Megatron.

Correction: In the Prequel Comic to the first movie, it's explained that Megatron was frozen because his Energon reserves were low afer traveling from Cybertron to Earth. A fully functional and charged Transformer can still withstand the cold and depth. That was a wrong assumption on the Secretary of Defense that no one would be able to retrieve or revive them.

Corrected entry: When Mikeila and Leo were running away from Megatron, they didn't bring the box with the Decepticon. Then when they were with Agent Simmons, the box was on the Camaro.

Correction: A significant time has passed between the two scenes mentioned. Once the Autobots save Sam, they separate and head in different directions. After the 'fight sequence' there is plenty of time for Mikeila (and anyone for that matter) to go retrieve 'Wheels' inside the box.

Corrected entry: Only a Prime can kill a Prime, but Optimus [Prime] gets killed by Megatron.

Correction: It is never said that only a Prime can kill a Prime. it is only stated that a Prime can kill the Fallen.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Agent Simmons uses a taser on the throat of the guy in the back seat, he understandably loses consciousness, but three seconds later jumps out of the car of his own accord and is fully awake and not in the least bit disoriented or disabled.

Correction: We don't see how long it took them to get to where they are. It just cuts from that scene to them stopped.

Corrected entry: When Sam Witwicky touches the Allspark with his bare hands, it has consequences. He touched the Allspark with his bare hands in the first movie without any problems.

Correction: It is made clear during the movie that when the Allspark transferred its 'knowledge' to Sam because it was no longer 'whole'. In the first movie, Sam held the Cube when it was whole and complete. When he touched the device in this movie, the Cube transferred its knowledge then. The logistics behind this are not relevant. The Allspark was a powerful and unknown device.

Megatron: Is the future of our race not worth a single human life?
Optimus Prime: You'll never stop at one... I'll take you all on!

While Mikaela and Sam are on the phone with each other (after the failed webchat date the night before), when Wheelie starts reaching up for the safe's combination lock in the first shot, there are no mouse traps on the floor near the short stool to his left, nor are there any cigar boxes. However, in the next shot two mouse traps (a snap trap with cheese bait and a glue trap) and two cigar boxes have all suddenly appeared. Wheelie proceeds to step on the two traps and then stands on the two boxes to reach the combination lock.

When the planes bombard the desert ruins, the explosion, which holds the Guinness record, took 8 months to be made, more than principal filming took! Also, the planes used while filming in fact bombarded the set, as explosives detonated for the massive explosion. Seems Michael Bay enjoyed the high budget of this film.
