Continuity mistake: At NEST headquarters in Diego Garcia, when Galloway arrives holding up the Presidential order document, in the shot from behind him as he walks through the front gate, the booth is to his right (viewer's right) and the vehicle to his left (viewer's left), but in the shot facing him the booth is to his left (viewer's right) and the vehicle is to his right (viewer's left). Continuity mistake: When Mikaela's car is carried by a Decepticon helicopter, they are dropped in the building and there's a shot showing the airbags activating, but in the following shots (when the car stops moving or when they are getting out) the airbags are nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Sam rushes back to his dorm room, he paints the first symbol on the Bad Boys poster, then rips the top poster off the wall and paints large symbols on the wall in its place. That poster remains gone in all the following shots except for two, where it is back on the wall above the Bad Boys poster. First when Sam knocks over the microwave and then when Alice fully transforms on Sam's bed. (00:50:10)
Continuity mistake: When Sam meets Leo in the dorm room, the bike near the window is not chained/padlocked to the metal bed frame springs. However, when Leo complains about Robo-Warrior the bike is chained/padlocked to the bed frame, but when Sam's parents walk in it's not again. Additionally, the bed frame moves from being in front of the window closer to the corner, to being directly in front of the window fan. (00:25:40 - 00:27:45)
Continuity mistake: When Sam enters his dorm room for the first time (carrying the box), the two large stickers (rectangular and round) are to the right of the two posters on the door, but in the following shots both of the stickers are to the left of the posters. (00:25:30)
Continuity mistake: Just after Jetfire sacrifices himself, Ratchet orders Jolt to electrify, and we see Sam and Mikaela standing near Ratchet, but in the next shot when the Transformer's parts are flying towards Optimus, Sam is now a couple of feet away helping Mikaela stand up again. (02:18:16)
Continuity mistake: When Mikaela is talking to Sam on the phone after Sam had his "nervous breakdown", when he is picking up the dropped papers, the people on the right coming down the stairs come down twice.
Continuity mistake: While we're repeatedly shown map views of the region while events are taking place in Jordan and Egypt, and characters even say things like they're "five klicks" (kilometers) from the water during the battle, things cover distance impossibly fast. For example, we're shown M-1 Abrams tanks being landed ashore by LCACs (Landing Craft Air Cushion), but just seconds later they're on site, engaging the Decepticons. This does not appear to be a time-lapse in the film itself, as we're shown the battle unfolding in what appears to be real-time. And that's ignoring that the pyramids, around which the battle is taking place, are really roughly 140 kilometers from the tip of the water. Even the closest point is around 120km from the water to pyramids. (02:06:27 - 02:06:57)
Continuity mistake: During the shot where Mikaela runs into the lamp post, both the Pretender and the front bumper slide under the car as she backs up and drives forward again. Seconds later, as the camera angle changes and they drive away, the front bumper is re-attached with only a dent where it hit the post.
Continuity mistake: During the scene establishing the Decepticons on the Bayos freight ship, vehicles change. The first shot, overhead, shows Long Haul (green dump truck), MixMaster (grey cement truck), Rampage (red bulldozer), and Scrapper (yellow front loader with wheels). The next shot shows Rampage as being yellow, and Scrapper is now some yellow Volvo vehicle with treads and a claw. Also, by the angle of this shot and based on the previous shot, there would not be an angle to see through the background vehicles. In the next shot, when the transformers jump overboard, Rampage is red again, and the Volvo with treads is now the front loader Scrapper again.
Continuity mistake: In the astronomy class, Sam writes many symbols on the chalk board. In the first shot of the full board, one symbol is very messy. In a later shot, it is significantly cleaned up. (00:45:00)
Continuity mistake: After the Astronomy class, when Sam is in his dorm room he begins writing a green symbol on the Bad Boys poster, but when Leo and Alice show up that first green symbol has completely changed its shape and its position on the poster.
Continuity mistake: When The Fallen decrees that the Decepticons will now make their presence known, one of them knocks the flagpole off the top of the eastern tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. A short time later, another shot of the tower shows the flagpole is back and there is no damage.
Continuity mistake: When Megatron heads toward the tower in jet mode, he transforms and seen upside-down front flipping towards the tower before he lands. About a split second when he lands, he faces the other way instead of facing the tower.
Continuity mistake: When Leo, Mikaela and Sam arrive at Simmons's deli in Brooklyn, note the clock hanging on the wall behind the counter. Between shots the time changes from 10:20 to 11:40 to 1:05.
Continuity mistake: Devastator demolishes a fair chunk of the top of the pyramid. In the shot where Devastator falls down after being destroyed with a Rail Gun, the top of the pyramid is still intact. (02:11:20)
Continuity mistake: At the frat party, when Sam uses the cake frosting to write the symbols, in the first shot he writes the first symbol with perpendicular lines aligned with the cake's edge. In a following shot showing more frosting symbols, the original two lines have changed shape and position - none of the symbols are aligned with the cake's edge. (00:33:50)
Continuity mistake: At Sam's dormitory, there is a bathroom directly across Sam's dorm room which has a blank wall beside its door, when he asks the RA to switch dorm rooms. However, when Leo joins him in the hall there is a large framed photo hanging there. (00:28:10)
Continuity mistake: When Major Lennox throws Galloway off the cargo plane, Optimus Prime's dead body disappears. (01:39:39)
Continuity mistake: Optimus knocks over Megatron, and collides with the Fallen, knocking him off of the pyramid. But in the next shot where Optimus blows up the machine with a single shot, the Fallen is nowhere to be seen, and in the shot directly afterwards, he is right below Optimus. (02:19:06)
Answer: Well, for one thing, he blew up Sam's room and half their house. Sam knows Bumblebee meant well, but is still mad at him because of the destruction he caused. It's the equivalant of a child knocking over a vase while trying to hit a fly.
