Trivia: In the opening scene where at the bottom of the screen it says Ocelot, Iowa 1969. That gas station scene was actually shot in Mars, Pennsylvania.

Trivia: The announcer at the beginning of the national bowling tournament in the end is Blues Traveler singer John Popper. The band also performs at the end of the film.

Trivia: Another commentary mention - a lot of friends' of the Farrelly brothers make appearences in this film. One makes an appearence as the man at the bar who Munson thinks called him a psycho. Some others are included as the professional bowlers who are in the final bowling sequence.

Trivia: In the scene where Munson shows off his ring and throws a strike, notice three guys walk up to him. The first guy and the third guy to high five him are actually professional golfers, Billy Andrade, and Brad Faxon.

Trivia: In the fight scene between Roy Munson and Claudia, it's very obvious that actress Vanessa Angel's acrobatic stunts were performed by a much more muscular woman. The stuntwoman is Donna Keegan, who played the attempted-rape victim in "RoboCop" nine years earlier.

Continuity mistake: Ishmael (Randy Quaid) clearly has a tattoo of a four leaf clover on his chest when he is rescued from the strip club, well before they even make it to Reno, where he allegedly gets the tattoo. (01:08:20)
