Continuity mistake: When the T-Rex is going after Larry, Larry is behind a desk. The T-Rex bangs his head on the desk and then lifts the desk and throws the desk. A few scenes later the desk is back in place and there is no mess from the papers that were there before. (00:22:50 - 00:23:40)
Suggested correction: The desk is at the opposite end of the hall, the desks in shot were never touched by T-Rex.
But roughly at 40m the desk stands well again. Maybe end of the night magic - but the desk is in place without being touched by anyone.
Continuity mistake: When Larry does the magic trick with the disappearing handkerchief, the amount of coloured handkerchief visible out of his thumb changes massively between shots. (00:59:00)
Continuity mistake: When the Neanderthals throw the foam on him, it noticeably changes shape and size throughout the next few shots. (01:02:05)
Continuity mistake: When Larry first meets the Easter Island head, he is talking to him from about 5 feet (or more) away. When it cuts back to him after the shot of the people chasing him, he is just inches away from it. (00:24:50)
Continuity mistake: Sacajawea is pushed down by Teddy and falls face-up, but lands face-down a shot later. Though she could've turned around while falling, she only has half a second while freefalling in panic, so it's quite impossible for her to turn around.
Suggested correction: It's impossible to say how exactly she falls in that moment, she could turn pretty much everywhere when she was out of frame.
Continuity mistake: When Larry notices the caveman's footprints leading to the open window and goes to investigate, the footprints are gone in the next shot. (01:05:25)
Continuity mistake: When Larry is explaining to Rebecca how the museum comes alive at night, her purse straps are alternately crossed and uncrossed on her shoulder. (01:11:25)
Continuity mistake: When Larry lifts up the cowboy and the roman emperor and places them on the bench, they move closer together between shots. (00:53:20)
Continuity mistake: The epaulets on Larry's normal jacket disappear and reappear between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Larry is talking to Erica about getting a job, they both drink glasses of water. In one shot, Erica is just about to drink from her glass, but in the next shot her arm is lowered down by her waist. (00:05:05)
Continuity mistake: When Larry tells Rebecca that the museum comes to life, they are in front of the Neanderthal display. But when Rebecca leaves, they are in front of Teddy Roosevelt.
Continuity mistake: In the end, when Larry meets up with Teddy Roosevelt, during that whole scene, the people in the background change positions, especially the guards in the blue cape.
Continuity mistake: When Larry is about to grab the bone for the first time, a brochure on the right appears and disappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Larry is interviewing with the Big Apple employment agency, the business cards in the desk holder move from being all neatly assembled within the holder, to being lifted out on the left bottom corner.
Continuity mistake: When Larry is in the locker room getting ready for his shift, he doesn't have a necktie on. As the shot changes when he turns to talk to the three guards and close his locker, he has a necktie on. (00:49:55)
Continuity mistake: When Rebecca leaves the Museum after sitting in front of the Sacajawea display after Larry asks her to leave as he's closing up, from the internal shot of when she's leaving the Museum she exits through the middle rotating door but on the outside shot she is seen leaving from the door on the right hand side of the Museum.
Suggested correction: She is coming out from the same door in both points of view.
Suggested correction: She doesn't exit the middle door. She exits the door on the far left (you can see the 3 red carpets laid out in front of the doors and she's on the 1st/3rd one). The area to her left isn't an exit door.
Continuity mistake: When Cecil is giving Larry his equipment, he hands Larry the flashlight pointing down. In the very next shot, when Larry takes it, the flashlight is pointing up. (00:17:30)
Continuity mistake: When the T-rex and Larry are playing for the first time, the position of the bone on the floor keeps changing all the time.
Continuity mistake: When Larry's mouth and clothes are covered in foam from the fire extinguisher, the amount around Larry's mouth and nose changes or disappears and reappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Larry walks towards the museum for the first time, the woman behind him disappears in the wide shot.
