Happy Gilmore

Shooter pars the last hole, so Happy needs a birdie. Just as he's about to putt, a tower that Shooter's friend ran into falls and blocks the path of Happy's ball, but the rules say Happy has to play the ball as it lies. The tower's construction makes it similar to the "Impossible Hole" that Chubbs taught him at, so Happy hits the ball into the tower and wins. Shooter tries to steal the gold jacket, but the crowed chases him and he gets the crap beaten out of him. Happy gets his grandma's house back.

Continuity mistake: In the final round, when Happy and Shooter McGavin are about to tee off on the first hole, they show a picture of the 18th green with the Volkswagen Beetle already crashed into the TV tower. However, this doesn't happen until Happy gets hit by the car later in the game. (01:09:25)

Question: After Happy sinks the final putt to win the tournament, Shooter grabs his jacket and runs. Mr. Larson catches up to him and off camera yells, "Face down." However, in the TV version, he instead yells, "Stay still." Why is this line changed?

Answer: It is an inuendo that Mr. Larson "violated" Shooter for stealing the jacket, which is changed for the TV versions to be cleaner. However, some people insist it's the same for both versions, so it's possible that later DVD releases were changed too.
