Revealing mistake: When the bridge is exploding from the mine attack, the stuntman playing Jason obviously launches himself out of the captain's chair.

Aging, out of work actors from the cult TV show "Galaxy Quest" now are reduced to attending conventions and opening supermarkets for a living. They run afoul of evil aliens, but defeat them. The actors revive their roles in a new TV series.

Guy Fleegman: I'm not even supposed to be here! I'm just "Crewman Number Six"! I'm expendable! I'm the guy in the episode who dies to prove how serious the situation is! I've gotta get outta here!
Trivia: The scene near the end of the film where the bad guy kills all of the Galaxy Quest crew is very similar to a scene in the '70s British sci-fi TV show Blake's 7. In that scene, the crew are shot one by one in the same fashion as in this scene.
Question: At the end of the film, Malthazar says "The ship was a model as big as this - a very clever deception indeed." Does he mean that the Thermians now accept they were decieved by the "historical documents", or does he still believe the "documents" were real and the Captian was deceiving Sarris by pretending to admit they were false?

Chosen answer: He thinks that the Captain was just tricking Sarris and the "documents" were real.
